Really good selection of produce- all fresh and vibrant in colour which is always a good sign! Also, the vegetarian selection is incredible- especially this week with the XXL range having a 2 pack of flavoured tofu for only 1.45 !!nnOf course if you wanted a more relaxed, luxurious shopping experience Lidl isn't your shop, but in this economy it's an incredibly fairly priced shop, and very efficient when needing to get a few bits quickly :
It's a good store, pretty much well stocked. I really like that they now stock some of the vegan products, especially Vemondo, regularly instead of just for Veganuary. The produce is of good quality and for good value for money. And on top of that there are discounts etc. The store is usually busy but not overcrowded, at least not when I visit during the workweek. The store is clean and the wifi is functional.
The discounted orange stickers aren't always scanned by the checkout staff, so you end up paying the full price. You only find out after checking the receipt and so it is not always convenient to return and queue up again to get the correct price. The Lidl App is next to useless if you don't use coupons for specific items. It should be a percentage off for whatever you buy.
Cheap and effective! The sauces are great for the price too! Great place to buy meat and carbs for prep meals as well as cheap snacks
I don't live in portsmouth so in search for a tesco I came across lidl and decided to shop there instead. I parked my car, did my shopping and left. 5 days later I ended up getting a parking ticket, I was only parked there for 53 minutes. The sign that I saw said free parking, nowhere did it state that I had to pay or claim parking. This is so misleading especially if you don't live in the area, absolutely ridiculous.
