A really good place to shop, the store is always clean and the staff are always very polite. I like how they have items of fruit and veg for free just after the tills that have past their date, it really helps with the cost of living.

Visited this shop and it's hard not to swear while writing this.nnGot held up at a till whilst the checkout operator struggles to handle a coupon or refund of some sort. She left the till at least twice to speak to her boss, I presume. Altogether, stood there with about three others waiting for this woman to get a grip of herself and do her job for about an extra fifteen minutes. Normally, I'd let this go but the woman doesn't even offer so much as an insincere apology for our wait. And to top it off, no 'please' or 'thankyou' and when I bit my tongue and wished her a good evening, she turned away.nnI considered complaining to the assistant manager but he was having a very public argument with a shop assistant about the eggs. So I suppose professionalism isn't a priority in Lidl.nnIt was a shambles.
