The store has a good variety of products and is usually pretty quiet after 5.30pm so it's nice to have a look around.I like that they have the self scan tills as it makes paying for the shopping quicker when there is queues at the normal tills.
you don't sleep for 2 nights, you drive 3 thousand km, wow there's Lidl, you buy breakfast at 3 pm, and what and the cashier seeing 3 things in her hand, having the tape on, the gate open and just turned off the light above the cash register, tells you sorry that the cash register is out of order and then goes to another employee and talks instead of going on a break. bravo
Parking was free and easy, the store is what you expect staff of friendly enough and efficient, no silly number plates recognition with the companies that wish to send you invoices for breach of contract, you spend longer in timenand effort disputing the parking then you would have saved if you went to a better shop.
If I could give zero stars I would!!nnVisited this store earlier this evening. Staff should let customers know they are expected to use the self service checkouts even if they have a trolley load of food because they are too lazy to open up a till!!nnLast Saturday evening a staff member told me to use the self service till, luckily another staff member stepped in and said no, as I have too much. They would open a till.nnTonight, someone else told me to use the self service till. I said are you sure? They replied, oh yes., it’s absolutely fine!! Obviously I told the gentleman that I wouldn’t be prepared to do that and that I was leaving the store. I then left empty handed! And very annoyed!!nnSo moral is, if you have a basket of food, use the store. If you have a trolley, be prepared to have to try and put it all through the self service yourself because the staff are too lazy and certainly not customer focused!!nnJoanne Smith
These people try to scam you.nNot sure if by mistake a cashier put 16x Iceberg lettuces or what, but they should've checked. Glad we got a receipt. Get your receipts this might be a tactic.
