The women that work in this post office appear to take great pride in being the most unhelpful, rudest, grumpiest staff on the planet. Do us all a favour and retire so someone that actually wants to do the job and may enjoy it can have a chance.
Rude and unhelpful staff, went to put money on my bank card, given them £80 and after lady turned on her chair and back she said it's £70. Absolute disgrace. Very disappointing, I know, how much money I had going there. Parcels are being weighed and overcharged on several occasions, every question is an inconvenience. The gentleman working there is very polite and helpful, unfortunately can't say the same about the ladies.
This is the worst post office I have ever been to and never will go to again..! The two old ladies working there are rude and make you feel like the biggest inconvenience. You don’t like your job get lost, you are over 65 anyway... why work there ?? They pick and choose who they wish to be friendly and helpful to. All my friends had same bad experiences and been on the receiving end of these rude ladies! Absolutely Disgusting Old Women, someone need to remove their sorry but of there before someone will really lose their temper! I have a video evidence of how they treat customers!
Unhelpful staff, took pre booked parcel force package into them and they refused to take it as it weighed 11kg. Despite it being the recommended local drop off point when I paid for the label and advised it was an 11kg parcel. Asked what to do and whether there was anywhere else nearby to drop it off and they just said they can't help. Called Kingswood post office who have advised they are happy to take the parcel. If you have a car and want a reliable semi local post office then head straight to Kingswood, I will be in the future.
Arrogant old women who work in there. They talk down to you like you’re a child and like they can’t be bothered to help you out, anything you ask it’s an inconvenience just rude won’t be going back there
Outrageously rude and unhelpful. Love making you feel a complete inconvenience for any service you unfortunately wish to use them for.
Can I just say I'm amazed at the reviews for Lenham Post Office. I always find the staff to be helpful and friendly, they ask after any events happening in our lives and always make a point of giving our dog a biscuit or 2 when he's with us in the shop. It's hard to get it right isn't it, if there's a queue and they're chatting to their customers people moan about how long it takes to serve each person, if they don't chat but just crack on with the task in hand, they're considered unfriendly.
Possibly the worst post office I have ever been to. The two ladies who work there are rude and make you feel like the biggest inconvenience. If they don’t like their job... why work there ?? They pick and choose who they wish to be friendly and helpful to. All my family members have had bad experiences and been on the receiving end of these rude ladies! In particular my younger sister who was spoken to so disrespectfully. I agree with the phrase “respect your elders” however I also think respect is earned and just because you are older and have worked somewhere a long time... it doesn’t give you the right to treat others disrespectfully and rude. Opening times online are completely different to actual opening times..... they seem to open and close whenever they please! I avoid using it where possible as these ladies really are awful to deal with !
I couldn’t agree more with the 1 Star reviews here. Staff are completely rude and indifferent to the service they give. A village post office should be a community hub and service but since the first lockdown they’ve reduced the opening hours and continue to offer these restrictive hours. Covid the excuse of course. They just don’t care- sticking two fingers up to their community that they should serve. She even told me over the phone when I was trying to locate a ‘missing package’ within her office that all people do is complain. Well do something about then!!!
I visited the Lenham Post Office branch today to drop off a pre-paid Parcelforce Express48 package containing a child's car seat. I was immediately treated rudely by the two female staff members behind the counter. The one I was being served by told me that the parcel was too big to fit through the hatch, so she wasn't going to accept it. The parcel dimensions were 65cm high x 55cm wide x 48cm deep, so well within Parcelforce's maximum dimensions. I pointed this out to her and offered to place the parcel to the side of the counter, but she said it would have to go through the hatch and if it didn't fit, then she wouldn't accept it. I lifted the parcel to the hatch and it fitted through fine. The staff member then told me that at 9.2kg, the parcel was too heavy and she wouldn't accept it through the hatch. I pointed out that it was well within Parcelforce's maximum weight limit of 30kg, but she said I had to take it back through the hatch and place it to the side of the counter, which I did, despite the fact she said I couldn't do this about a minute earlier. With all her protestations answered, she then told me that she would accept the parcel on this one occasion, but if I were to bring any more large parcels like this she would not accept them and I would have to visit another branch or try a different service. I remained calm and polite throughout this encounter, which was the complete opposite to the behaviour of the Post Office staff member behind the counter. I was made to feel most unwelcome, an inconvenience and some sort of trouble maker. Needless to say, this made me feel very awkward and it was really not a nice customer experience. I have never complained about a visit to a shop before, but I feel compelled to highlight how awful my experience was. There are many other competitive parcel companies where I could take my business and I will definitely consider them when I next have a parcel to send. Anecdotally, I have heard similar stories of poor customer experiences at the Lenham Post Office from other people in the area. My wife refuses to go there because of the way she has been treated on a number of occasions and my neighbour says she feels anxious when she goes in there because she never knows what the temperament of the staff will be. This is not something I would expect from a trusted and respected company such as the Post Office and the staff at the Lenham branch reflect very poorly on the company and the brand.
