This is a great restaurant. I was here recently with my family. So many options on the menu for chinese food. I really enjoyed the food, tasty and filling. The staff were increbly friendly and helpful. It's a small place so it does get busy often. Apart from that, I would high recommend this place.Food: 5/5
The dumplings were appalling as was the entire meal. I was incensed when I opened the bag. The main was a lamb dish but it was delivered as a cheap, grease covered meat dish. The wontons were not good and had little or no filling. The veg spring rolls are shop bought and I have advised the Restaurant that they should shop elsewhere as these are flavourless andobviously not fresh or nice. The dumplings, the main reason for this review coupled with no response from my complaint, were fired together. They were RAW, unsealed and horribleI had to try 2 to make sure they were as disgusting as they looked the whole meal was a disgrace to cooking. 1 star is too good a rating
Mapo tofu is great and taste as traditional Chinese dish. Double cooked pork belly is fine. Veg fried noodle is pretty normal.
They should have a higher rating. I give it 5 out of 5. The options we had were all super tasty. The kong po vegetables could have had more nuts but still tasty. We really enjoyed our lunch. We will be back again soon to try other dishes on the menu. They do serve the dishes as they are ready so don't expect them all to arrive at the same time. We were hungry so this worked for us. Vegetarian options: Plenty of lovely veggie and vegan options so I was very happy. So many veg options it took me a while to decide what to order. Dietary restrictions: They catered well for my vegan diet and other dietary restrictions I have.
Visited here over the busy xmas period and managed to get a table for 6 with no previous booking which we were very grateful for. However the whole experience seemed flustered from the get go. We all ordered at the same time, starters & mains, yet mains began to arrive before starters and some people received both at the same time while others received nothing at all. 2 of the table had to query where their food was and ultimately had to order again as their orders had been forgotten. The salt & chilli prawns were quite good. The spicy cubed chicken pictured below however, came with peanuts garnished all over it despite the allergen list not listing any types of nuts, a potentially dangerous mistake. Thankfully this was noticed when it was dropped to the table and they remade one quickly, unfortunately it didn't taste of much, nor was it very spicy.
Had such a great experience, went here two days in a row! For day got the pork stuffed scallion pancake which was perfect and delicious and crispy/chewy and flavourful. The the hot sour soup which was spicy and great, the the lamp hot stone pot which was rich and savoury and not greasy at all. The best night we got the soup again still excellent the Peking duck pancakes which were perfect and tasty and crispy, the pancakes were paper thin and hot and the little green onion/cucumber/carrot slices were a perfect fresh crisp addition and were PERFECTLY cut. Then we had the bees dumplings which were open on the ends and the wrappers were clearly home made and were soft and lightly chewy and very flavourful. I really don’t understand all the negative reviews here, I’ve had two great experiences in a row! It’s definitely worth a try!
Loved the Chinese cuisine. Food was yummy & prices standardFood: 5/5
I had a very unpleasant dining experience at Lee Kee. It is a restaurant that I cannot recommend to my friends and I would not like to visit again. Service wise ~ 2 stars: I felt neglected, Was looking for the waitress for help but no response, she appeared to be very busy. After a short time, I gave my feedback to them and then they apologized. However, following the apology, their demeanor was unpleasant, and that took the good out of the apology. Food wise ~ 2.5 stars : I ordered sweet braised pork belly. Pork skin and the fat part was nice, but the lean part was too dry to chew. It was a huge portion, as you can see in the picture, I couldn't finish it. Environment wise ~ 2 stars: Quite dark and dull.
Really good authentic Chinese food. A bit dark and dim environment tho. The good definitely makes up for it !!!
I had visited this restaurant with my boyfriend and the staff were unfriendly all the time! The first impression wasn’t good due the cleaning inside but this is ok for Chinese restaurants. Iam from Brazil and don’t understand about Chinese food and asked to the guy if the pasta was fried. He look at me with a ironic face and asked: what? Noodles? I said: Yes. He said: sure! ironic. Me and my partner were very uncomfortable about the situation. When I asked the bill the same guy didn’t look at us and just walked away from the table. The food it’s ok but bad service from the staff.
