Visited Le Bun at Rotate in Shoreditch. Total shambles from start to finish. Waited ages for drinks, my bottled beer came in a can and other drinks were warm. Waited 20 mins from the first order to arrive to sides. Burgers dry, chick’n inedible and rubbery and cold, toasted buns were not toasted but some actually stale. My Oder was actually wrong but waited so long ate it. Avoid at all costs. Over priced £8 burger was literally a dried overcooked unseasoned patty with processed cheese on a stale bun. Friends salad was half a lettuce cut in half. Fried served in polystyrene boxes - very poor. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
My favourite burger in the UK without question. I heard this location is closing soon which is a travesty but hopefully they will be back flipping and making amazing burger toppings in a central location soon
Underwhelmed and disappointed. Went to the Sebright Arms after seeing John Quilters review. His burger was pink and juicy and perfect. Mine and my wife's were overcooked and dry, making them chewy. The buns were stale which only made matters worse. The beef patties were clearly aged as advertised, but ruined in the cooking process. The truffle mayo chips were delicious, but unfortunately the main event let the whole experience down :
Burgers were dry, buns burnt, we sent burgers back..Mac n cheese dry black on top. Whoever was chef today wasn't on top form for a premium burger joint.. At the risk of blasphemy I think that a cheeky five guys was much better ,more tasty and succulent ..
Pretty average really! A classic case of Instagram vs. Reality for me. We got the Le Truffle Cheeseburger, the Truffle Honey Bacon Cheeseburger and the Bone Marrow Fries. Very generous portion with the fries but they were really nothing special, the truffle mayo is the best thing about the burgers but not worth it for £10 each. Expensive for what you get overall and much better competition in that area - Black Bear or Butchies will sort you out!
Was in London on holiday staying in Shoreditch. Happened upon this place by accident. Hands down, the best burger I have ever had. The layers of complex flavors in every bite. If I would find a place half as good as this in the States; I would be in heaven.
Quite disappointed after seeing the photos. Burger was average and chips the same. Had the truffle honey bacon burger. Very plain patties. Ok bun. The truffle mayo did most the work. Chips were from frozen. There is lots of tough competition close by with likes of black bear and Bleeker.
Happened to come across Le Bun in Brick Lane by pure chance and boy I do not regret it one bit! The Le Truffle Cheese Burger was absolutely devine and the Truffle Mayo damn I could taste every single bit of it! A++ grade burger for sure!
These guys really know about French and American food and constructing deep, hearty flavours, and this is the perfect venue. The bourguignon burger was incredible and the grits! Amazing flavours. Their brunch menu was really good too, especially the chicken and waffles. Andy and Tim from Le Bun are creating as much of a stir at the Three Compasses as they did at Street Feast
Possibly the best burger I've had in London. Went to the Seabright Arms concession, for the Truffle honey bacon cheeseburger - it was amazing. My girlfriend had the vegan burger, which was equally as good!
