Good atmosphere! Clean and tidy in the restaurant. Staff are friendly. I ordered "American breakfast " =£9 "coffee Americano", =£2. Tastes good. Price Ranges are not cheap enough. But I want to go again.
Everything here is done brilliantly and their breakfast selection is all fantastic. A great bunch of people always friendly and welcoming and they also support Brighton Housing Trust. Truly good people serving truly great food my favourite for a filling breakfast.
Great brunch selection! Really enjoyed the South African fry up - my partner had the pancakes, both superb. The staff were really friendly and attentive.
Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, great value. Original, locally sourced and perfectly cooked breakfast with cool Brighton style. Best breakfast I've ever had!
Each time we have visited the UK the last few years we have come here. The décor is extremely charming. This time we ordered the langelee, South African and the breakfast baguette. All of which were beautifully presented and tasted even better. Accompanied by perfectly brewed coffee. Would highly recommend if searching for a relaxing breakfast or brunch!
The best breakfast in Brighton. Langelee's has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. The food and coffee is always of a high quality and I have never had a bad meal in my multiple visits over the years. The garden in the summer is a great addition when it is warm enough to sit outside.
Owner run establishment where their passion and enthusiasm shine through and make this end of London Road well worth a visit. Can highly recommend the items on the menu as the quality of food and service is excellent whether it's a coffee served with one of their delicious homemade shortbread biscuits, or a quick snack or a main meal. Not to mention the great choice of breakfasts, and the specialist South African items.... Venture to LangeLee's and I promise you'll want to return.
Nice place for a Sunday brunch! Portions are big and flavory. However, when we ordered a fresh natural juice, the server brought us a bottle of juice and we ask them to take it back. His reaction and the way he treated us after that comment made my friend was a bit too agressive and unpolite.
I'm not usually one to write reviews but I felt obliged after being left horrified by the owner's terrible customer service and bad attitude during our visit yesterday. Four of us ordered one breakfast wrap, two eggs royale and one LangLees breakfast, when over half an hour passed with no food arriving I went up and politely asked the waitress if she knew how much longer it would be. The owner came storming over and when I said that it had been half an hour he scoffed/ rolled his eyes and said that it hadn't been, checking on his till to prove me wrong. When the till actually ended up proving me right he became even more hostile, telling me that half an hour is a normal amount of time as "everything is made to order" and if we "want fast food then go to McDonalds across the road". I'm sure I don't need to defend the fact that over half an hour for four breakfasts is not a normal amount of time, which he proved himself when he initially refused to believe it had been so long. Our friends were also dining on a separate table and repeatedly asked for some water only for it to still not have arrived by the time we [eventually] left. The cafe then ran out of most of their stock by 12.30pm on a Sunday, with the table next to us having to amend their orders to what food was available rather than what food they actually wanted. Food was okay but not good enough to justify the rude attitude - an attitude that can be further proven when you look at the restaurant's response to any negative review on this very website. Looking forward to seeing what passive aggressive response the owner decides to write about my account of yesterday's service!
Amazing food with generous helpings. Very reasonable pricing. Friendly staff. Seems to have a post colonial South african theme which put me on edge due to my black african decent however the eggs royale clouded my nationalism very yummy full tummy.
