I visited a few weeks ago for brunch and was completely bowled over by the bacon and egg sandwich. It was incredible. Huge and packed with really good quality produce. The fry up was also very well received. Good options for teas and very friendly staff. View is nice too!
Myself and my partner came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast and we both said it was the best breakfast we’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked fresh, the bacon was cooked well done how we like it, the bread was so soft and fresh and the coffee was lovely and hot. It was our first time visiting Newquay together and it was one of the best cafes we’d been to. Would definitely go again when we come back for another holiday
Wednesday morning. Great service, great hot chocolate, absolutely stunning Pineapple and Ginger Cake, 5* Café, come and walk and then recharge. Booked to return for Saturday evening, waitresses couldn't do enough for us, food was tasty and well cooked, lovely evening meal.
Not one for writing reviews but I couldn’t not for this place ! £4 for a very generous portion of homemade cake and a very generous sized coffee too! …. Who & where in Cornwall offers that these days ? Lovely place sat inside in comfy chairs over looking the beautiful boating lake. A very warm and friendly welcome and top notch service. I can’t fault anything about this place and visit. Thank you very much for a lovely experience. I will be back P.S coffee and walnut cake … delicious!
Love going here. It's nice to have a walk walk around the lake then stop for an ice cream, a cuppa coffee and cake or a lunch. Their evening meals are gorgeous. They always have good selection of specials on to keep the menu interesting. Highly recommend.
We had a black americano and it was a really good quality, tasty coffee. Cakes are homemade, but those we've tried were extremely sugary sweet. Nice place to pop for a coffee.
We have been many many times for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. We've been for Halloween themed meals, and for Christmas meals, and we have always enjoyed our food and service! The food is very good and great value for money!!Food: 5/5
Was rather disappointed with our group Christmas meal. The starter of prawns was beautiful but the roast turkey meal was not very enjoyable. Veg was very hard not even al dente, the roast potatoes were overdone and seemed as though they had been reheated and the gravy appeared to be made from "granules". However, I would add that every other meal I have previously eaten here has been excellent, but am guessing that due to our large group and another at the same time, possibly had an effect. The service was very good as per usual.
Lovely Location, lovely staff. We had fish and chips. Very disappointed. Fish batter ..too much. Peas very poor attempt at posh peas. . Shame as setting was great..also pricy for what you get over £32 for 2 fish and chips and pot of tea for 2. ..:Food: 1/5
The goujon of salmon was amazing. Hugh pot of lovely tea. The service was amazing. Not a good place for a quiet conversation as the chatter reverberated around making it difficult to hear but the seemed to be part of the charm. Amazing cafe/restaurant with a lovely view of the lake.Food: 5/5
