Story

One of the best pizzerias in Britain, La Favorita has won numerous awards including the coveted AA Rosette and is hugely popular with local residents and visitors to Edinburgh.

Log-fire oven cooked pizzas, gourmet pastas and a wide selection of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes make La Favorita the place to enjoy the authentic taste of an Italian pizzeria, whether you choose to join us in our Leith Walk restaurant or call our home delivery service.

La Favorita is part of The Vittoria Group, an Edinburgh institution dating back to 1970 when Alberto Crolla Sr opened the first restaurant, Vittoria, on Leith Walk.

The group, which is now run by son Tony and his family, has grown over the years and now features award-winning eateries around the city, including Vittoria on the Bridges & Leith Walk; Divino Enoteca restaurant & wine bar, and the most recent edition, the Taste of Italy café.

As a third-generation Italian family restaurant, we know exactly what genuine Italian food is all about and use only the finest Italian ingredients for our pizzas and pasta. Home-made dough from Padova, Veneto, forms the basis of our pizzas which you can top with all manner of mouth watering ingredients sourced directly from Italy, all finished off in our revolving 300C log-fired Italian ovens to create that special crispness and unmistakable smokey flavour.

Our delicious gourmet Italian pastas are made to order, or you can enjoy tasty options from the grill - cooked to your liking, with a great choice of antipasti starters, fresh salads and indulgent home-made desserts. Our kids’ menu features only the freshest ingredients – and high chairs are available for the little ones – and we have gluten-free options for all our pizzas and pastas as well as some of our desserts, as well as wholemeal pasta and plenty of vegetarian options.

Our Party Room comfortably seats up to 25 guests and makes an ideal venue for all types of special occasions and celebrations, from birthdays and graduations to office parties or a fun night out. A choice of authentic Italian set menus are available or specific requirements and preferences can be accommodated and tailored especially for your event.
