Food was good but not great. Very slow ours took 50 min from order. Portions small. The dish below was my stuffed chicken breast. Need to update website, actual price about 20 percent higher than website prices. Not a place I would go back to

Lovely, authentic Italian. Reasonably priced, balanced dishes and a nice selection of wine.

We were a little hesitant because it does not look like much in the outside, but the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the veal ravioli special at the time, ricotta and spinach ravioli, and gnocchi in a pesto sauce. The staff were also very friendly and did not rush us. Best Italian food we had in Scotland. Great eats for a reasonably priced menu!!

Absolutely love this little hidden gem. Very pleasantly surprised by our first visit- fantastic food and excellent service. My partner and I had become regulars before we sadly moved away- popping in every few weeks for an evening out. The staff are always incredibly welcoming. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My girlfriend and I came here on a Wednesday you can bring your own wines on Wednesday, and before 6:45 for the 3-course meal for £15. Unfortunately the waiter couldn't make it, but the owner told us before we sat down and told us it was going to be a little slow; he stopped letting people in once a few tables were there, which was a very respectable thing to do. All of the food we ordered was marvelous, we were very surprised everything we ate because it was all so good. The owner had something bad happen with the no-show, but our time there certainly did not suffer. He got himself some new regulars.

Don't judge this little corner of Italy by the decor - the food is excellent. The mains and desserts were outstanding and resulted in cleared plates all round for a party of six. My risotto was superb. My only suggestion would be that on reflection and comparison to the other courses, the starters have a little room for improvement. Service was friendly without being intrusive and we felt very well looked after.

Last visit was very disappointing. We made a booking online but when we arrived it was not open! I tried to call but the number didn’t work! Previous review is as follows: Very cosy small Italian restaurant providing fresh seafood and amazing tiramisu! The wine selection is also very good! Definitely will come back. The second time we went I was quite disappointed to have an extremely portion of main dish day's special. Not sure whether things have gone down in this restaurant or not.

Aldente restaurant is an small Italian restaurant on Easter Road. The service is very authentic yes, you will be served by real Italians and friendly. The interior has been refurbished and offers a nice atmosphere. The menu offers simple Italians dishes including a large choice of pasta. The food was good particularly the gnocchis but lacked sometimes of seasoning and flavours. The food is not extraordinary but prices are very reasonable. I think it is a good value for money.
