Great service and tasty wholesome food. Service was friendly and helpful but not over the top and in your face. Food quality was great..better than our last visit a couple of years ago.

We wanted to book somewhere special that we hadn't visited before for a special lunch to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We were delighted with the quality of food and wine, and the attentive yet unobtrusive service. The garlicky olives were delicious while we made our choices. The prawns in tomato sauce were succulent, fresh and delicious. Caprese salad was equally fresh, with creamy mozarella. Our mains were spectacular: we asked for the steak to be cooked 'blue' (expecting either a blank look, or a no on the grounds of health + safety) but the steak was duly served blue, buttery in its tenderness and absolutely delicious, with mushroom sauce and veg. The salmon was succulent and juicy, cooked to tender perfection, and deliciously complemented by seasonal veg which were al dente and full of flavour. I can recommend the Mansion House Sauvignon Blanc too. We were the only guests, sadly, but will definitely be returning.

This is a great find! Not only is the food fantastic the atmosphere is great. The service is brilliant and it was a great touch getting complimentary drinks after dinner.
