With a name like “Betty Bumbles Vintage Tea Rooms,” you are immediately have to ask yourself – is this place for real? And yes, folks it is. Offering a selection of afternoon teas, cream teas and high teas as well as breakfast and lunch menus, Betty Bumbles is just the place to visit after a hard days shopping at the eight charity shops located in the market town of St Neots! While downstairs is the official tea room, we were allowed upstairs to partake in a pot of Earl Grey tea and some coffee and walnut cake while overlooking the market square (see my pics). It was all rather old-world and charming and definitely worth a visit. While we were there, the owners were preparing the upstairs rooms (known just as quaintly as “Bertie Bumbles Cocktail and Wine Bar”) for the evening’s “Art-Deco” experience replete with 1940s music and cocktails. We couldn’t stay since it was raining. Sunny days. Where have you gone? I get the strangest feeling you belong…

Party of 15 all happy! All our meals (brunch) were freshly cooked and quite delicious. The serving staff were courteous and helpful and they brought in our birthday cake and led the singing of happy birthday. We had also been for lunch the previous week and were well looked after and served lovely food. Thank you.

I have been to this tea room on a few occasions and found it to be ok. The quality of the food is generally quite good, with the cakes usually being beautifully baked. Unfortunately, I find it very cramped and the service to be very slow and inconsistent. The garnishes need to be more closely checked before serving as this lets the food down. Would recommend if you have a lot of time and patience.

Thank you for a fabulous afternoon tea. You won’t go home from here hungry amazing value for money and those scones well just phenomenal. I will definitely be back x

Tea room by day. Cocktail bar by night. Carefully walking past the dainty tea service and up the rickety stairs, wondered exactly what lay in wait for us... But, very pleased to find a proper cocktail bar! One which has a fine array of expertly mixed cocktails to choose from, that you can enjoy in a cosy, intimate, friendly and relaxed environment. Pleasantly surprised and will definitely return.
