Terrible food. I don't know how it's possible to spoil the burger! We went there with our family who visited us those days and we suffered only disgrace in front of them. I would expect some decent and tasty meals in Albert Docks to encourage people to return one day. Instead, we were served with awful, undercooked burger, burnt steak and dump meat pie! We will not come back soon and definitely give that place a wide berth!
Took my daughter for lunch, we ordered prawn and seafood sauce baguette and Tuna mayonnaise baguette both disgusting frozen prawns like slop no sauce, tuna was a brown colour tasted acidic and I hate the metal teapots where more tea on the table than in the cup. Prices not cheap. Definitely will not return or recommend!
Disgusting !!! The place looked clean and welcoming the service friendly and quick and prices reasonable and that's where it ended . The food was inedible my two granddaughters had Pizza and chips £3.99 each the pizza tiny and soggy and consisted of a bit of cheese and sauce. the chips pale and also soggy- my partner and myself had cheese burger chips and salad again awful the bun was stale and dry and fell to pieces the burger just tasteless and full of fatty chewy lumps - and the salad was a bit of onion and wilted lettuce - nothing was commented on when the meals were returned virtually untouched . Never Again!!!!!!!
Lovely little place! We stopped by for lunch and had fish and chips which were gorgeous. The Crepes also were very good. Staff are friendly and it's a very nice place to come for a spot of food with the French setting and music. Would recommend!
I've been going there for a long time with my grandson, its our treat. It's a great atmosphere with the accordion playing softly in the back ground, you'd almost think you were in Paris. Completely different to all the other cafes on the dock which are mostly boringly modern!! Good choice of food and of course a fab view of the dock itself
Stopped by at lunch and ordered a chicken baguette and pot of tea. The baguette came swimming in a pool of water, apparently from the miserable, limp salad which came with it, which did not taste fresh, nor did it appear to have any dressing. My partner's prawn jacket was bland and the sauce "tasted like watery mayonnaise". She left feeling nauseous. The staff were pleasant but disorganised.
can't recommend this for breakfast. went for the weekend breakfast - very poor choice, it's pretty much full english or nothing. no choice at all in how you'd like your eggs etc. and the breakfast itself was pretty average. their crepes on the menu do look good though, and it may be good for lunch or a dessert, but i would avoid this place for breakfast.
It's really a fast food joint. Don't go in expecting anything 'French'about it at all except the name. Crepe are card board like envelopes filled with superstore processed cheese with a light sprinkling of the other advertised ingredients. Thoroughly disappointing food. Two out of three staff were friendly and welcoming and deserve a pay rise for their valiant efforts to make this a worthwhile place to visit. The third was surely and abrupt.
The look of the restaurant is allright, you can really feel the french ambiance. Sadly the Burgers were awful, the bun was half frozen and the meat had a akward taste. At least the staff was friendly..
During my visit, this was one of the places that we had tried for brunch. I can say that it was a good surprise with a good variety of different options, it is excellent for someone that is looking for something tasting, and different, the savoury crepes with cheese are magnificent.
