Lovey place, tasty food but portions way too small! The decor, atmosphere is very nice. There is a good choice of food which isn't pricey, however this comes at a price - the portions are so small. I should have taken a picture, but my pasta main was 4 forkfuls, I was so hungry after. Saying that, it was tasty and different to usual restaurant offerings. We pre-booked a set menu with wine, however they ran out of rosé which wasn't ideal.
Now the Florist. Had a very pleasant experience here. We booked a party of 20+ for my daughters Hen Party. Food was excellent and we had the set 3meal course very reasonably priced. Drinks a bit pricey though but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.
Absolutely loved going here for lunch. Great value and very tasty food. Attentive waiting service, and the food was very quick out of the kitchen. I would recommend to anyone. Just don't sit near the door it can be a bit windy near there.
The menu was really well-balanced, with a mix of good hearty meals and small nibbles. There are well-thought out prix fixée menus, that are very popular with pre-theatre crowds, but they're also good for people who want an introduction to French food. Been here a few times with a whole range of friends and family, and every one of them would go back...
We decided to pop out for dinner before seeing Bill Bailey at the Philharmonic in Liverpool. Choosing the theatre menu, which is really good value, and a nice bottle of wine. The food was lovely and the service really helpful, even checking what the start time was with us so that we had time for dessert. We will definitely be back.
Been to this place a couple of times and have never had reason to complain. Good food very reasonably priced on the set menu. A bit cramped but understandable given the set menu offer.
Good menu choices, excellent food with fresh seasonal vegetables, good value for money, not too long to wait, lovely ambience. I visited Sunday lunchtime. Chosen at random when walking to Liverpool philharmonic hall which is just across the street.
Good quality food. Served us very quickly with the pre-theatre menu. Glad to visit a local business rather than yet another chain restaurant. Recommended.
Had an absolutely cracking night here. Delicious authentic French food and great French wine - all very reasonably priced. The service was excellent - everyone was really friendly and the other diners were good fun too! We happened to be in Liverpool by accident and wanted a good French restaurant as we love French food and wine. We couldnt fault this place and would highly recommend it. Just one comment - it's La Toilette not le! but it didnt matter to us!
We the Society of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology at the University of Liverpool recently hosted our Christmas dinner at Bistro Jacques. We had 60 attendees, and everyone was extremely impressed with the speed of service, the attentiveness of the staff, and the organisation of the meal. We had an excellent night and will definitely be going back to the restaurant in the future! Thank you so much!
