Story

La Bonne Auberge Glasgow Theatreland takes pride in being one of the few Glasgow restaurants to still be going strong after 40 years.

La Bonne Auberge, Glasgow’s original Mediterranean Brasserie, continues to thrive and innovate under the guidance of our award winning Executive Head Chef, Gerry Sharkey. Using only the freshest ingredients, the menus offer excellent value for money and tantalising cuisine inspired by France and the Mediterranean.

Surrounded by some of Glasgows top theatres such as the King’s, Theatre Royal and Pavilion Theatre, as well as Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, La Bonne Auberge offers the perfect venue for pre-theatre and à la carte dining. Events facilities were fantastic for a wedding and the food was excellent quality for catering for 60 people. The staff were so friendly, helpful and great at responding to all my questions.

The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. French menu offering roast duck and other meats as well as vegetarian options. We booked online and used a Taste Card and got 2x1 in our meals.

Lovely meal. Real shame they didn't have more customers, but suppose my visit was a Tuesday.  We need to get out & about and support our restaurants.

Food was good. Not very authentic if you are looking for french food. Onion soup was a bit salty and the bœuf bourguignon is not traditional french. The staff was friendly

Previous visits to La Bonne Auberge were fabulous, unfortunately yesterday was not, sat for 20 mins before food or drinks order were taken, 45 minutes after we arrived our starters were served and main course was either cold or tiny portions, staff completely disinterested will be a long time before we return.

Lovely food pity the restaurant was empty as this would have added to the ambience.

Good food, good surroundings, well served by good staff.

Casual Brasserie Dining, authentically French. Popped in to meet someone and just had tea today. Lovely service and decent sized pot of tea. Able to charge up my phone. Immaculate Loos too. Handy for Buchanan St Bus Station and Buchanan Galleries.
