Wow this was great. Really authentic Irish cuisine and done really well. I highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It’s my favourite dessert so I’m quite an expert and THIS WAS A GREAT ONE! Loved the scotch egg as well. We both loved our mains too. Just a lovely time all around. Great vibes inside as well.Recommended dishesVenison Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream
Our favourite pub. Great food, great selection of drinks. Friendly service. We only went for a drink this time around but have eaten there often. my cocktail took some time to arrive however they were apologetic and explained the delay.
A solid elevated bar/pub & grill, or rather based on the traditional to innovative menu, a fine dining restaurant minus the white tablecloth we all know there’s an all too often unnecessary up-charge for that anyway. I have to mention the presentation, which was excellent, with various plates, jars and placement of dishes often not naturally presentable. Appetizers were delectable, though it’s the fist scotch egg I’ve ever hence no reference for my palate. We had the collar of pork and fish & chips. The pork was tasty and just right fatty and the fish moist requiring just the proper amount of fork pull to separate. Oh and the pork came with a black pudding bon bon exactly what you’re imagining, omnivore bonus! Well done! This review is based on a February 2023 visit.
Tasty dishes combining classic with original flavours, nicely arranged, and affordable plates. Finally a restaurant where you can easily talk in a relaxed, and Irish looking atmosphere. The place is not open every day and for every lunches so I hope this will change as a lot more students will arrange in TU Dublin Grangegorman campus.
Scotch Eggs - amazing. Trout - delicious. Cocktails - fantastic. Staff - friendly. Went on one of the hottest days of the year and unfortunately it was sweltering; luckily there's an attractive courtyard at the back so we could cool off with a drink!
Amazing place, delicious food and drinks we ordered beer and ale and a very friendly staff! Cannot recommend enough. Thanks a lot, we had a great time:
This was a bit of a letdown. The welcoming, easygoing atmosphere is great but the food was bland and greasy. Especially the chicken kyiv just tasted of frying oil, with the only garlic butter being in a small corner of the meat. The 2 hour time limit was very tight. We were only a table of 3 hungry people, but it was hard to fit 2 courses in that time. The front-of-house team was pleasant and professional, but it's clear that this restaurant is as understaffed as all others.
Interesting beers and great food in an proper pub atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Great spot.
Decent place with friendly staff but the food is kind of overpriced for what it is. The duck was very well cooked though!
Didn't try any food. Craft beer taps are mainly irish-based, with several interesting drafts I haven't seen elsewhere. I was sitting next to the bar, so the service was really fast. Atmosphere was kinda dynamic, full house on Saturday evening but not packed. Not on the main tourist route, so I definitely recommend visiting.Service: 5/5
