Nice traditional pub atmosphere, friendly staff, open early and food available all day starting with breakfast. Live music on certain nights also.
We loved the evening there. Mostly locals, simple live music. Sandwiches are also nice.
An old fashioned and unspoiled Dublin public house. A good pint of stout and as is becoming the expected norm an extensive selection of whiskeys and gins. Located on the Red Luas line opposite the Four Courts building it is convenient to access . If you are lucky there may be live music on a weekend evening. Enjoy.
I always pass by thinking to myself: I should definitely pay a visit, looks like an absolutely amazing pub. And I was right! I love the place and its atmosphere and interior. The bartender told us they have live music every day except for Thursday. Sometimes there're two sessions going on at once! I definitely recommend the place both to tourists and locals!
Lovely old-school bar that serves a fantastic pint of Guinness, spacious interior with a Grade A snug at the front; which on weekends can be found to be full of incredible trad music. An absolute delight!

For a Friday night I was pleasantly surprised Hughes Bar was the perfect atmosphere to sit and chat over a pint. Nice music in the background. Wasn't rowdy and the pints were priced at €5 a Guinness.
Proper, traditional pub, always a good pint. The only frills are toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, with Colemans mustard and Chef brown sauce.
I was there on a Monday night . This is a great traditional music session. It is very casual and very relaxed . These musicians meet every Monday for tunes. Listeners are welcome .
Great pub often with multiple sessions at once, lovely barman
