1st class service from the lads at Kwik Fit yesterday. I arrived a bit late for my appointment (sorry!) but they were fine with that and even worked passed 6pm to get my 4 tyres and new pads and discs fitted. All the the staff were polite and kept me updated through the day.

Dreadful. Told it would be two hour wait for a tyre change and was OK with that. Went for a stroll whilst waiting. Returned after 1 and a half hour and sat in a very dank waiting room for another half hour just me and just a couple of others. Then asked what car I had. Told him and got reply of can't do it as machine had broken. Asked why he couldn't have told me earlier when I came back said he was to busy yet he never left the counter and just a couple of us there. Also said he tried to phone my home address to let me know. He had my car I couldn't get home! When I did get home no message on answer phone. Bit suspicious I think. Also used the toilet which represented a third world cesspit. Hopefully find another service.

Really disappointing, was made to feel like I was on the wrong on the phone when you had infact fitted a tyre on a very damaged alloy. After seeing another mechanic this morning they were in complete shock that you even put this back on the car given there was a perfectly good spare on. To then be told on the phone, well it might not have held air in - why on earth was it put back on the car then? Would NOT recommend.

OK if you just need a tyre fitted but anything slightly more difficult than that seems to be beyond them! Whilst fixing my car to pass the MOT they managed to break something else which a month later I am still waiting for them to fix! Have even complained to head office and area manager but "speedy" and "efficient" seems to be lacking from there vocabulary!
