I've joined a few weeks ago and strongly recommend Krav Maga Exeter. The training can be demanding but it is of very high quality, with a highly pragmatic approach to self defense. The two instructors are an absolute find, being both very approachable and patient. The lessons are focused, with each set of moves being repeated and built over multiple sessions. Each lesson has so far finished with some sort of pressure exercise against multiple opponents, which I've personally found particularly useful. The venue itself has plenty of parking and is quite spacious. Class sizes have been between 8 and 12 of mixed genders, ages and abilities. The group is quite welcoming, so come along! I would highly recommend Krav Maga to anyone for fitness while also having fun learning self defence with great club members. Brian Smith is an excellent instructor who has plenty of experience and knowledge.

I have been following krav for a while but it was very difficult to choose the right club. after some really deep research i chose Krav Maga Exter and what a fantastic group of people Definitely recommend Bri and his team who are true professionals passionate about Krav
I decided to join this club after hearing of the excellent tuition and guidance given to my nephews and brother who, having been active members for some years now advised me to come along and do a trial session. The instructors are enthusiastic and couldn’t be more welcoming. Brian and Rich are professional but fun and give clear concise guidance on techniques, expectations and outcomes. The other club members are friendly and happy to pair up regardless of experience. What a fantastic environment to learn something new, get fit and make friends.
Great club which helps you learn real life skills that could help protect you if you end up in a bad situation. Brian is a fantastic tutor and the club is very welcoming. It is for anyone and of any fitness level. If you are looking to improve your fitness the club will help you with that but more importantly this is not about getting fit you are learning a set of skills and how to react in real life situations that will protect you. Yes what we are learning is taken very seriously but it is also a lot of fun too and I would highly recommend joining to anyone.
This is our first experience with Krav Maga, and the way Brian runs the sessions, we have not been disappointed! My daughter trains here every week and has said that the consistent positive instructors and enthusiastic participants who take the class create a perfect workout environment. The venue is very convenient to get to, has ample parking and more than enough space for a large group to train comfortably. Most importantly, it is the same group of quality instructors Brian and his amazing team who run every session in a very welcoming and non-judgmental way. My daughter tells me that the concepts are explained clearly and logically, and they push the participants in the right way. There is a clear focus on learning the key skills and improving fitness & strength during the sessions. Would highly recommend.
Thoroughly recommended. You very much get out of it what you put in - it can be tough but is always rewarding. Brian and Rich, the instructors, bring a wealth of experience, humour and exceptional support. Thank you guys!
What a great club. From the start in my trial session everyone was very welcoming and non judgmental. A great group of people to learn new skills with. The instruction from both Brian and Richard is first class, they encourage a great learning environment and explain concepts clearly and intelligently. Their focus on fitness, strength and skills during the session combine to make an excellent 90 minutes of time well spent. Thank you all for your guidance and support.
Despite being a bit nervous I took the plunge and joined a few weeks ago. I'm really glad I did! The instructors are very welcoming and genuinely enthusiastic and all the members are friendly and keen to offer any help. The workouts are excellent and push me to my limits every time...and then a bit further! Brian has been great at encouraging me and enabling me to learn as a beginner whilst still training with more advanced members. The variety of training really keeps me focused and keen for the next week. I'd recommend it to anyone.
