An excellent place to visit. Lots of large open parklands with deer wandering about. Lots of trees for kids to climb and interesting woods for exploring. The house itself has a cafe and gift shops and a little interest if you like historical buildings. The grounds have a good collection of giant oak trees, sycamore trees and sweet chestnut trees.
A nice place to visit and enjoy a day outside London. We went on a nice sunny day to Sevenoaks and it took us 15 minutes to walk to the Deer Park and from there to the National Trust. The Knole estate is beautiful and is definitely unique with the things displayed. You will see beautiful paintings, a stunning wooden staircase and a prehistoric elk horns. You can also climb the tower and enjoy the whole view of the park. The staff were informative and helpful throughout our visit.
A stunning place, lovely walks around the surrounding park, lots of deer roaming about. The house itself is very interesting and every guide is knowledgeable. If you can handle the 70 plus winding steps up the tower the views from the top are definitely worth it. Some good restoration work going on in the barn as well. Music buffs can visit the locations of the Beetles videos for Strawberry fields and Penny Lane.. Ample parking, well worth a visit.
Great area and few good hiking trails around. The park has free roaming deer that add up to the atmosphere and the scenery. The estate itself is impressive. On weekends the park is pretty full with people with their kids. Worth mentioning is that in there is a golf course running through the park that can be annoying when the golf players are asking the visitors to stop or be aware while they are playing
We regularly visit knole Park, it’s has stunning views and a wonderful heard of Dear! There’s a cafe and if you do have a buggy there are paths that are suitable. It’s £5 to enter and it’s always worth it! A beautiful day out. Oh and don’t for that dogs are allowed.
Lovely place. Deer pretty tame but lovely grounds and great for a walk or a chill out. Prices as per usual a bit much on the cafe but if everyone who goes is a National Trust Member then need to make money up somewhere else. Ham and cheese role 4.50. A lemonade 3 pound 10. I'm suppose I'm to used to my meal deals for under a fiver loved it tho.
Lovely open grounds with well maintained paths. Lots of trees, plants and wildlife. Strange walking through the golf course but just added to the experience. Great toilets and cafe too. Will definitely return as there is so much more to explore.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Large deer park with plenty of deer to see, some quite tame so not daunted by passing cars or people. Grounds are on undulating paths, some hard but most just of soft ground. Parking is near the house and cafe. No gardens which was a surprise. Still a good visit for half a day.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The house is magnificent. But i just write the review to warn you that my GPS misguided me to a closed gate of the deer park. Make the GPS guide you to Knole Lane or St. Nicholas Church Sevenoaks to be sure that you reach the right entrance to the park, because the area of the property is really huge.
Pre booked a car parking space. Visited the main house, amazing furniture and portraits. Always useful to be able to speak to the knowledgeable National Trust staff, who can tell you so much about the exhibits. The Conservation studio is also very interesting.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
