Good place to walk the dogs and a safe childrens play area. There is also an outside gym/exercise yard and tennis courts. The childrens play area is split into three sections I'm guessing that's for different age groups/abilities.nThere are paved and woodland trails with a selection of wide open spaces for joggers, cyclists and dog walkers or those just wanting a stroll in the fresh air.nThere is a stream that runs through the area but I feel like I need to warn you:-.nIt is fed by run off from the surrounding roads drainage and therefore does carry A LOT of pollution. This is proven by the distinct lack of aquatic life. Not even stickle backs or crayfish. We could not even find any water bugs. Which is a great shame really for such a pretty area.nThere are plenty of benches to rest your weary legs and there is also a picnic area and public toilets nearby. To be totally honest they are a little bit smelly typical public toilets but not unusable.nOn most days throughout the spring and summer there is usually an ice cream seller and a hot drinks van NR the picnic area.nOnly other 2 things that I think needs a mention is:-nDuring heavy rain some areas can get a bit, let's say overwhelmed by water and more bins are needed as several areas don't have any at the time I write thislate 2024.nI mean who needs to be carrying a bag of dog meds around with them whilst they try and enjoy their walk??nHowever, ending on a positive note. The place is relatively rubbish free and kept tidy most of the time.
Always a pleasure to walk the dogs around Knighton Park. Plenty of paths to take and explore and is very well kept.nnScruffyThomas coffee is well worth a visit who is usually there on Thursdays to Sundays. Check out the converted horse box near to the toilet block .
Lovely large park with great open spaces for dogs to run around in, with a handy stream for muddy dogs to get wash in. Saw a couple of great children’s play areas too. The car park is quite large with two ev charging points to. Best park I’ve been to in ages.
Lovely afternoon out with my daughter and her friends and our dog.nLots of things for the kids to keep them entertained and loads of space for the dog to run around.nNice stop for an ice cream too
Lovely park where we enjoy walking our Golden Retriever. Always plenty of other doggy friends to play with.
