Knaresborough Swimming pool

Story

One section of the pool is shallow throughout and is particularly suitable for youngsters and learners but there are plenty of opportunities for serious swimmers and adults too.
We offer a variety of swimming sessions from actual swimming lessons to, aqua fit, general swim, 50 plus swim, women only, disco feva, fun sessions and party hire on a weekend.
We also have a water slide which is open in all our general swims.

It's great fun here and I really enjoy going. I don't know if it's because it's so cold outside, but today it was really warm too. It was quite busy and the slide was broken, but because it's such a large well-run establishment, you could still swim up and down really easily. Plus, the slide will probably be fixed by next week, so that's fine. It's great fun and their variety of sessions allows it to be good fun for everyone. It's really worth a visit.

Arrived just before 2pm for the fun session midweek of the Easter break. Car park was full so had to park some distance away. The queue had subsided but we were told the session was full, and we were ok to wait if we wished, with no guarantee of getting in though. We eventually got in (one out one in policy) at 3pm. A number of lockers and changing rooms were out of order, but generally the poolside area was clean. Aware that the session ended at 3.30pm my 7 year old, competent swimmer, made the most of it. NOTE, children under eight must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Leaving to get out until the last minute, we found the showers to be freezing cold (there had been prior warning about the temperature) no toilet paper in one of the cubicles. And then we had a very lengthy wait for a changing room. So, get there mega early, be prepared to queue regardless, then exit the pool before the throngs and masses.

My brother who is 7 goes to this pool and it is amazing, a little hot but grate value for money. I used to go there and the teachers are amazing, if you live near this pool you should definitely send your child hear it’s fantastic.!!!!!

Fun for kids. Inflatables and slide (basic). Busy but pool temperature ok.
