Absolutely adore Klaw and the team that keeps it running smoothly. Try the Flaggy Shore Oysters if they have them! We loved trying all the different types that were available the day we went. It's tiny, as you already know but SO worth the wait. Order anything and everything. The service team knows their items! They can describe the differences between the oysters, and answer any other food related question you have. If you are in Dublin, you need to dine here.
Went here on our first night in Dublin and where not disappointed. We're looking for a fish place for a quick bite and this really seems to fit the bill. We got a small table near the entrance and basically ending up ordering everything off the menu. Started with various oyster, a lobster roll, some lobster claws, the bouillabaisse, even a crab infused Mac an cheese. All the delicious food we washed down with bloody Mary's! Great place.
Holy mother of seafood. It’s a tad pricy here but everything is SO FRESH. All of their produce is collectors locally and you can tell. There’s different types of oysters to choose from and fresh mussels as well. The wait was a little long because the restaurant is small but it was worth the wait. Will definitely be back here next time I’m back in Dublin.
Klaw is a small place, very small in fact but it really doesn't matter. They have about 3 tables and some small wall seating so at max it can hold around 15 people. Get there early and getting a seat won't be an issue. The staff is friendly and are more than willing to answer any questions you may have about the menu. The vide is pretty chill especially with all the customer artwork on the walls. Now for the food, my god the food is amazing. It's not a cheap place but you won't regret spending the money on quality seafood. Every visit for me came to around 100 euro. The oysters and the calamari are by far the best things you can get in my opinion. Also if you are looking for a show then get some torched oysters.
We came here in the afternoon off-peak hour. The girl who served me recommended the sampler, considering I'm a first timer. She explained where the oysters are from upon serving. The oysters themselves tasted great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city. This is definitely a hidden gem, literally within the city.
Fresh seafood and not too expensive. First time we came, there was no seats and there was a queue. This time round, I came straight in and ordered a lobster roll with ‘When I was 6’, i.e. grilled prawns. Very fresh and sweet! The only complaint I have is the lobster salad on the roll was cold - would have preferred something warm or hot. Was told the oysters are good but didn’t try.
Best oysters were the 00s which were huge. Lobster roll was fresh and brioche was crunchy. Service was friendly and bless them, they have to squeeze between tables. Close knit dining makes for a cosy atmosphere but getting a table can be hard if full as you might be left waiting. Crab on toast was again, fresh and tasty. Food isn’t cheap but it’s Dublin - for under €100 we got two dishes, 10 oysters, bottle of prosecco and the Mac and cheese with crab again, delicious and the flavour wasn’t taken over with the cheese. Well worth it and a lovely experience.
Oysters were great but overpriced unless you come during happy hour. Wish our server explained how the toppings order works before we ate them. Lobster roll was more like lobster ‘salad’ roll. If you live in Tokyo or NY, Luke’s is way better for the full flavor lobster. Service during lunch time was slow and mediocre.
Most fantastic seafood restaurant in Dublin. Yes, it's small and that makes it so unique and intimate. Service is friendly and good but the best is their fresh made foods. It truly is an explosion of flavors. We must go there every time we're in Dublin.
One of my favourite places to eat in Dublin. Small and cozy place with great quality of food. Love it!
