Having utilized their expertise for not one, but two kitchen remodels and a bathroom renovation, I can confidently say they are unparalleled in their craftsmanship and professionalism. From the initial design phase to the final execution, every aspect of our projects was handled with meticulous attention to detail. The team at Kitchens Alive demonstrated a level of expertise and creativity that truly transformed our heritage home. One of the most remarkable aspects of working with Kitchens Alive is their unwavering commitment to excellence. They take immense pride in their work, ensuring that every detail is perfected to the highest standard. Taking on a kitchen renovation is probably one of the biggest investments you’ll make, next to buying your house in the first place, so you don’t want to compromise on quality to save a few bucks. Is Kitchen’s Alive the cheapest place out there? Definitely not, but they are absolutely one of the best! From start to finish, the renovation of our kitchen, powder room and laundry room was made easy, thanks to John and his amazing team. Amanda spent countless hours creating and updating detailed 3D images, helping us select all our finishes, and of course answering my endless array of questions. Communication was absolutely stellar!! When construction started, John and his team went to great lengths to ensure as little disruption to our lives as possible, to the point where they removed and replaced the laundry tub multiple times, to ensure we had running water on the main level throughout most of the renovation. They always showed up on time, and were very respectful to the fact that this was our home. When several of our cabinet doors arrived slightly damaged from the supplier, any other company would have just tried to touch up the doors or not even point out the damage. But John re-ordered the doors, to ensure we had the best quality possible. When a plumbing issue caused damage to the interior of our powder room vanity, John acted quickly to have the plumbing fixed, and completely rebuilt the interior of the vanity. We absolutely love our new space, and would 100% recommend this company to our family and friends!! Thank you Kitchen’s Alive!!
Love our new kitchen! Amanda and the team were absolutely incredible to deal with. She effortlessly handled any questions I had and John ensured all the work was meticulous. Several people have since seen our kitchen and requested their information. This is a top tier company. They provide excellent customer service in all areas including conceptual design consulting, demolition, installation and finishing details. Their attention to detail and follow up on questions and concerns is what differentiates them from other contractors. We have engaged them on both a large main floor renovation and a smaller bathroom upgrade and continue to receive compliments from friends on the finished work. I would recommend this company without hesitation.
Having Kitchens Alive provide our home renovations these last few years was the best decision we could have made. The staff included us in every step of the processes, and were knowledgeable, professional, polite, and friendly. These characteristics were particularly appreciated in our first work together: the Kitchen Renovation. Everything was removed, and then replaced with form and function, reflecting our choices, and with the latest of design and features. Moreover, it was more than a kitchen reno, as we included the front hallway, the back hallway, the powder room, and all doors in that area. From ceiling to floor meant we shared much time together, and they worked around our toddler and dog with smiling interaction. That process was so successful that we engaged them a second time to renovate our en suite. As before, it was a collaborative affair, with them providing the experience and expertise. I would certainly recommend this company, and indeed, have already been doing so. And know that our next project will see us knocking at the doors once again of Kitchens Alive!
We recently had complete new kitchen installed by Kitchens Alive. From beginning to end, it was an outstanding experience. Amanda the designer was amazing, professional and had very kind thoughts with attention to detail , to John the professional owner , that kept his word on our timeline with all ,promises kept. Now to the installation, we can’t say enough about the professional, meticulous skill set that Mark has while competing our kitchen. The whole experience of this renovation was wonderful, and without stress. We would highly recommend their services to anyone. They have a 10 star rating with us. Keep up the good work guys!!! We had a fabulous experience with Kitchen's Alive! Amanda designed all of our cabinets for our new home build which look beautiful and exceeded our expectations. She was great with keeping us updated on the progress of the project. Mark installed the cabinets and did a fantastic job. His attention to detail was impressive. Mark built mantles and shelves from walnut lumber we had harvested from our property and they look amazing. Thank you John for all of your help in the process. We are so thankful that Ken from Crown Homes of London picked you folks for the job on our new home!!
Ceilings wavy and cracked in less than 3 months. Didn't know how to fix ceilings. Flooring in some areas lifted some pot lights painted over. He provided/hung/ painted doors that paint started to peal. Some doors started to warp, and paint came off when wiped off with water. When I asked him to warranty the ceiling and doors, I was given excuses, and he refused and threatened me with bilaw enforcement. I had a professional murder and Painter to come to fix his mistakes. I had 519 painters to repaint the doors.They told me it wasn't painted correctly. I had a professional murder come in to fix the crack. I will not recommend him as a contractor.
We used Kitchens Alive to do a major remodel of our home. John and Morgan were extremely professional and helpful in working with my wife and I to scope out our major project. The scope of their work was to remodel the majority of our ground floor including moving and expanding our kitchen, putting in a mud room, and remodeling the stairs. They also upgraded our gym upstairs and moved our laundry upstairs. The project had a lot of custom millwork. Communication was excellent throughout the 5 month project. We even felt comfortable enough to be out of the country for the majority of the project. The renovation came in on budget, on time, and within scope. I would highly recommend KA for your major renovation.
We were extremely happy with Kitchen's Alive! John and his team are very friendly, knowledgeable and true professionals. They were very attentive as they guided us through the renovation process. We were impressed by their solution-based, results-driven approach and they kept us well- informed and kept the project on track and within the timeframe.
