Great spot for pumpkin picking! We stumbled across this place accidentally but stayed in the cafe for a bit before pumpkin hunting. The staff were lovely and the vegetables in the food shop were better value than other farm shops we have been to. The reason for only 4 stars - the coffee was terrible! I’m so sorry to say but a scoop of sweet, dried powder out of an industrial sized tub is not great. I would visit again but perhaps stick with a tea next time!
The shop is a bit disorganised, but not fault of staff as they were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts looked nice. We went around the Maize Maze which was Harry Potter Themed, by daughter enjoyed this as it helped with the experience. Nice walk and exercise.
Very beautiful place lovely walk’s friendly people
Food was ok, however the kitchen seemed very unorganised. They appeared to write orders down in a book at the till yet were it appeared they did not reference back to this as orders placed after us were being cooked first and staff did not have any idea on what customer ordered what. We waited 35 minutes for a bacon sandwich. Staff did not seemed surprised by the mistakes and used the excuse they have a very poor memory. Bit disappointing I would probably avoid in the future.
Brilliant place to go for a lovely walk, dog walkers aloud too. Some history behind the place as well. Lovely for children to walk and explore. Beautiful in the summer too.
The cafe opened up in the evening to host our club Orienteering night race. It was great having 'breakfast' after our runs. Some even had dessert.
nothing fancy, tea was good and cheap £1. 50 in a mug, the breakfast sandwich looked amazing but I did not try it. I had the flap jack at least it was homemade
Lovely breakfast sandwich! There was a bit of a wait for the food because the staff were cooking from scratch and it was a busy period. The breakfast is good value but quite big and very filling so I went for a sandwich this time. It was excellent. The food is fresh and good quality.
Great bacon and mushroom sarnies on proper thick homemade bread all provided in quaint and quiet country settings.
Stopped off here this morning for a couple of bacon rolls and a toastie. Sat outside in the sun. Friendly staff, good menu, lovely selection of fresh fruit & veg.
