What a lovely friendly ,welcoming Pub..All the staff were amazing..the food was top quality home cooked food ..Medium dinners are a really good size, and delicious..Best ever Cauliflower cheese..Gravey out of this world! And we mean it,you must try some there. Thanks to all of Emma's team. We were a big group ,20 of us..and the team were all so accommodating . Food & drinks: The Sunday lunch was amazing..cooked to perfection. Nothing has change..staff still wonderful, nothing too much trouble. Lovely home cooked food,beautifully served,piping hot.. Don't just take my word for it.. Go and try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed .
13 of us dined on Saturday night as we were staying at the Parkside guest house just down the road, great service and all the food was amazingly good. After the meal we were entertained by DJ Little Jon which was good fun. Great village pub.
Family run pub, friendly and welcoming. Well decorated and clean. When I've been in its always busy and great atmosphere. Walkability: Easy to get to, walking distance from we're i was visiting. Large car park to leave your car. Food & drinks: Great selection of drinks. Food always looks good and large portions. Not eaten here yet.
Fantastic local Pub, Owners and Staff friendly and helpful, go the extra mile. Food was delicious, well presented, was lovely Dog friendly, which is perfect as we can take our 2 dogs in with us. Walkability: 15/20 minute walk from our boat, just enough to prepare you for your drink. Food & drinks: Food excellent, as are the drinks, couldn't ask for better.
Emma and all the staff at the King's head are really lovely people. The food and hospitality is well worth the travel to go and enjoy. Me my family and friends love taking the time to pay them and the place a visit when we can. Keep up the good work!
Emma and her staff were amazing. 14 of us went for Sunday lunch and the food was gorgeous. They also had a bier festival, with live music, going on and the atmosphere and service was excellent. The Campbell Clan would definitely recommend and come again. Thanks for a great day.
Lovely menu had two meals from the meal deal menu which were very good. Great atmosphere with friendly locals just having a drink who, with the staff, made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go back.
This really is an awesome place to stay and eat. Situated in a very nice area of Yorkshire the staff and locals are very welcoming in this immaculate and vibrant village pub.
Wasn't impressed with this pub/restaurant waited far to long for our meals the garlic prawns with my surf & turf we're shrimps although the 14 Oz steak was quite good but price wise I expected a little more, our friend ordered lasagne which was warmed up & burnt her garlic bread came about 10 mins after she started eating her meal, on payment my partner told the lady behind the bar about the state of the lasagne to which she didn't even apologize or make any comment ,we visited on the 24th December on a friends recomondation.
Superb chalet rooms with TV, fridge and microwave, ideal for contractors like myself. Even though the rooms are near the pub they seem to be well insulated against sound. Great food served by attentive staff, and a great selection of beers at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
