We booked late for a Friday evening but they managed to arrange a set of tables for us at short notice. They also offered us outdoor dining but in the middle of November we went for the inside option A good selection of beers and lagers and a varied menu. Staff very helpful and attentive even amongst the busyness of the place on a Friday night. Prices on the higher side but would certainly recommend.
Had dinner here, food was outstanding. Ordered the double patty burger - flavours were exquisite. They're usually pretty booked up so remember to call and reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended spot for food!Service: 5/5
We met friends here for Sunday dinner. The menu choice was perfect including a choice of roasts, vegetarian option, and the fish batter was also gluten-free. All was perfectly cooked, and the deserts we're devine. Really friendly and helpful staff too.
The food is amazing, the rooms are beautiful The Walstan is gorgeous . I am Most definitely bringing my misses here when we are around the area. Absolutely smashing place. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
The shine has gone off this diamond. Poor service and just about average food. Cauliflower soup was dreadful, steak was chewy. Had to ask for service to be completed and interrupt waiting staff to get drinks. Took guests who had never been, but not sure given the prices and 90min round trip if its worth the effort. Wine was excellent.Service: 3/5
We come every year for xmas meal. Its always a great atmos, and good service. A little disappointed we lost our deposit for two people who couldn't come because of illness, considering we come every year and spend so much on drink and food. The idea of the deposit is that it covers a complete no show, not to scrape back £20 when 2 people dont show, never known anywhere to do that. But, hey never mind, food was great but gutted to see no crackers or candles… but as always we’ll be back next year but we’ll probably be a bit more wary of the deposit policy here
Wonderful meal, beautiful pub, friendly and welcoming staff. Some really delicious vegan options. I had the banana blossom fish and chips and a chocolate torte.
Excellent stay at The Kings Head Bawburgh. Great food, especially the full English breakfast which was the best I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients was superb, all locally sourced. Would thoroughly recommend this gem for food, comfort and service.

I came to the restaurant last night we were a table of 4 and was extremely disappointed. We had a really long wait for our mains to come, when the food finally arrived the plates weren't hot and the food was lukewarm. We had the same problem with pudding, it was a ridiculous wait for them to come. And to add to our disappointment the entire evening we felt cold. The wait for the food obviously didn't help but the restaurant was not warm. Our drinks were deducted from the bill but our evening was a let down.
