What a fabulous find this was. An ancient coaching inn, sensitively restored with all modern convenience and style. Room had everything we needed with an excellent packed breakfast we could eat in our room or take with us. Food provided was excellent, staff charming and very helpful. If you love history and modern accommodation, with something for everyone in the various bars, from games to sports tv. you've got it all at the King's Arms.
We only came for food and pool, great venue, a large garden area and plenty of space inside too, with great food and drink. There were sports on the tvs and the service was friendly and fast. Really appreciated the authentic atmosphere and style of the pub. The highlight was the pool table which is rare to find these days.nThe hotel/pub is located fairly centrally and adjacent to long stay car parks.
We booked a 2 night stay after reading mostly positive reviews. We stay in Norfolk regularly and like to try different places and thought we’d give The Kings Arms a go. We were shown to a room which was clean and reasonably presented and informed that there was no cooked breakfast available, which came as a surprise. Instead we got a little bag full of snacks. We booked a meal for the Friday night and it was a decent meal. We went for an Indian meal Saturday night so didn’t see any of the staff after that, until Sunday morning when we checked out. We came through the pub, said good morning to two women, who barely looked at us, let alone, acknowledge our presence. No, hope you had a good time, safe journey, hope to see you again etc. My partner told one of them that he’d left the room key on the bar and we picked up a coffee opposite before setting off on our journey home. My partner received a call from Peter asking where the key was. He was told it was left on the bar where it was collected on Friday night. He promptly hung up, so he went back in, asked Peter if he’d found the key, to which he replied ‘yes’ and my partner then said ‘I thought the way you hung up was quite rude!’ Peter’s excuse was that he lost his signal.nTo sum out stay up….the parking is an issue, staff, after initial check in, definitely not customer focused. We wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend to any of our friends. We aren’t difficult to please and we’ve stayed in a LOT of pubs in and around Norfolk, but this one wasn’t for us. Luckily we still had a lovely weekend in Norfolk, made all the better by the beautiful sunshine
Just popped in for a few drinks. Lovely beer garden and staff very friendly at the bar. Decided to have something to eat. The food was lovely and very well presented. Will deffinatly be returning here on our next holiday
May 25th what a night. Great atmosphere, great drinks!! The real star of the night was DJ Nicky - absolutely brilliant. Kept the energy high and the dance floor buzzing. Gave birthday shout outs and let us request tunes.
