After a 6 hour journey from Yorkshire, there was nothing more I wanted. I googled gluten free fish and chips Portsmouth, and hey presto “kingfisher fish and chips Southsea”. To get gluten free fish and chips is one thing, to find it entirely gluten free was an extra bonus. Reasonably priced, a big box of scraps all to myself! I wish I had got a photo before I started eating, but I forgot in the excitement. What better way to eat than on Clarence esplanade at Southsea watching the hovercraft come in and ferries leaving. Would absolutely recommend!…. Which I had done to family that live near by at Waterlooville.
Ordered Cod and Chips from this place a while ago. Good quality fish and chips here and probably better than a lot of other places in Portsmouth but it's a little on the expensive side of things. Cod was fresh but quite greasy. Chips were quite good and you do get a decent portion. If you are willing to spend the extra, visit this place as they are definitely one of the better ones I have had around Portsmouth.
Very expensive, £35.00 for 1x small fish and chips and 1x medium fish and chips, although can’t comment on the food, went in on a Sunday, won’t take card at all. Drove to 5 cash points on Albert Road all out of order, told lady behind counter she still refuser card, which is ridiculous that they can’t take card in 2024, can only imagine why…ended up without dinner wouldn’t accept any other payment.

Ordered 2 x fish cake and chips, 2 x sausage & chips was asked for upwards of £35 Must contain gold leaf we questioned it and was told it was because we were sitting in the restaurant, was then promptly told they do not accept cards and we would need to go and get cash from the ATM - didn't bother and left to go elsewhereFood: 1/5
I ordered cod, chips and mushy peas to eat in, and it was all excellent. Good sized portion and nicely cooked. The owner was very friendly and had time for a chat. I recommend trying Kingfisher fish and chips. I will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Well its a best fish and chip shop in the world I learned so much things about how clean and tidy its very tidy and I tried fish well I LOVE IT And I recommend EVERYONE TO GO THERE

Walked all the way to the chip shop and it wasn't open! Despite saying on the door opens at 11:30! This was 12:15.
Perfect , fresh cooked. Everywhere else local had an hour wait and we were off to the Kings, so here was Perfect. Friendly service. Had chips and mushy peas, huge portion. Very full belly.Food: 5/5
