Went to a function but didn't stay in the hotel so can't tell you about rooms. Service was excellent and the food was fabulous and generous. The hotel had two functions on the same evening and coped easily. The location is stunning if you want beautiful views and lovely walks. Harder if you want easy access to public transport but we didn't, we had a small fully self sufficient camper van.
Went for a lovely family meal. I had the Mac and cheese and dad and hubby had fish and chips. Really yummy. Not overwhelmed with the tasting desert platter but it was quite nice. The staff were above and beyond. Def go back.Service: 5/5
We stopped for lunch after walking with our dog in the area. We hadn't booked but were lucky to get a table as it was very busy. We both had a duck dish from the specials board and I can well recommend it. Service was a little slow because it was busy but staff were friendly and helpful and we were not in a hurry. There is outdoor covered seating and good parking. Can't comment on the rooms as we were not staying in the hotel
Went twice this week, first time we hadn't booked, they were very busy but so lovely and accommodating, managed to fit us in and food was good. Very friendly. Had such a good experience we booked for a two days later, totally different experience. My son found a long human hair in the melted cheese on his burger, this made him feel quite sick, me also as I saw him pull it out I didn't want to cause a fuss, so tried to not make a big deal out of it to him or staff and got him to try to continue to eat his food. Second hair, this time in the burger meat, as l watched him pull it out I felt like gagging, he did and spat the food in his mouth back on his plate. This time we we had no choice to tell the staff, two long hairs in one burger is bad both same length and colour, staff removed the burger, no one seemed to know how to proceed with this situation, they offered a replacement burger, but obviously my son didn't want to eat any more. We would have stay for dessert but was put off by the fact the manager who was so lovely two days earlier wouldn't even come over to us and the staff were whispering about the situation at the bar and looking over at us, making us feel like we had done something wrong. It would have been nice if they had come over to speak to us about the situation. Won't ever go there again. One hair in one burger is bad, two is disgusting. This is not something we have ever experienced before.
We ate in the restaurant. Lovely food. Interesting selection of special menu options including some traditional Scottish recipes, and the service was amazing.
We went to the restaurant food was lovely, lots of choice of local food, staff were attentive the restaurant itself was cosy and welcomingService: 5/5
Great place to stop for lunch when cycling round the island. Food and service excellent.Service: 5/5
Went for dinner, food delicious. Great specials board with something for everyone. All freshly prepared and really tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
Went for a delightful walk around the bottom loop of The West Island way and finished here for dinner. What a find. I had a large lamb shank dinner followed by sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. My partner had pork medallions then a spiced apple and plum crumble with custard and I have to say everything was so delicious. Looking forward to returning.
We hadn’t booked a table. Came straight from an Alpaca trek. However, seated quickly and made to feel welcome. Service was very good and food fabulous. Thank you
