I've normally always passed through Kilmarnock Station on my way to the bonny West Coast save for the days workers are on strike, whereby the route goes to Glasgow Central Station and ALWAYS find it to be a very well kept station. There's a touch of olde world about the place with platforms 1 & 2 ending and beginning, nestled side by side with platform 3 being the main through service. It's also a staffed station which is always a huge help.
Most empty train station I've ever been to. It has not toilets, vending machines or shops.
Kilmarnock is good for some shops but could be doing with new clothes shops less vape shops
Accessible with great staff!
Kilmarnock is a small Scottish town which does not have too much going for it. I only went there for a family visit. It, like a lot of other small towns has lost a lot of its industry over the years such as Massey Ferguson with no replacements. It was also very rural but that has also disappeared.
