Absolute disgraceful service. I very rarely ring the doctors for anything. I have been ill and getting worse over the past few days and last resort I ring the doctors. Doctor rings me back to find out what is wrong and the line gets cut off. I ring back and get told by Lisa the receptionist the doctor tried to ring back but could not get through so I now can not speak to her and the doctor will not be ringing me back again! Lisa would not take another number for the doctor to ring me back as she said the doctor would NOT be ringing me back! So the doctor was not on the phone long enough to find out my health issue, I will hold them fully responsible if I deteriorate in any way due to a lack of care and responsibility by them. The system they are clearly using is a complete disgrace and is a tool to make patients go to a&e when the doctors could easily be dealing with the patients
Been with killowen health centre my entire lifemail. Over the past few years it's become less and less reliable with the receptionist thinking they are the doctors themselves. I shouldn't have to give out personal health info to secure an appointment or be told at 11+ weeks pregnant that I'm not high priority enough to see the midwife ASAP even though I've been trying to contact them for weeks on end with no reply. Phones rings for 5mins solid without being picked up. Total sham of a health centre and would not recommend it to anyone
I find ALL the staff very helpful and considerate. I have been with the practice 5 years and have to say that from what my friends tell me about other GP practices in the town we are very fortunate to have Dr Tracey, Dr McMillan, Dr Convery and Dr Donaghy. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Finally, we always need to remember the pressure the NHS is under at times.
Am thinking of changing doc's after being with current practice for almost thirty two years. Was very impressed with lovely receptionist @personal reccomendations from friends @ colleagues. Am definitely considering this one @ make final decision tomorrow.
To get appointment with doctors You need to be lucky enough that someone actually answer the phone many times after long wait on the phone they just disconnect . Very poor service if they supposed look after us were in big troubles.
Killowen Medical Practice is my GP surgery. The GPs, nurses and other staff are generally helpful and have excellent medical knowledge.
I HAVE FOUND THE NON MEDICAL STAFF IE:- THE RECEPTIONISTS AND PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH APPOINTMENTS, REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ETC KIND, UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL AT ALL TIMES. I'M NOT A REGULAR ''VISITOR'' BUT ON THE OCCASIONS THAT I HAVE HAD TO SEE A DOCTOR OR NURSE THEY HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT. I HAVE AN ADULT DAUGHTER WITH A SEVERE LEARNING DISABILITY AND THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY GOOD WITH HER DESPITE THE FACT THAT SHE CAN EXHIBIT VERY DIFFICULT BEHAVIOUR AT TIMES. I USED TO BE A PATIENT AT A DIFFERENT COLERAINE SURGERY AND YOU ALWAYS HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR PLUS BEYOND THE APPOINTMENT TIME TO SEE THE DOCTOR BUT AT KILLOWEN I DON'T BELIEVE THAT I HAVE EVER WAITED LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES. OVER ALL I'D RATE THE SURGERY AS EXCELLENT
Can't thank all staff enough for fast,efficient, support of my Mother whilst on Holiday .
