Kennet Leisure Centre is based in the heart of the Thatcham community. The leisure centre boasts a 25-metre 4 lane swimming pool, Flume, Baby Beach Area, a 34 Station "Expressions" Fitness Gym, Sports Hall, Creche, 2 Squash Courts and Outdoor Courts.

We attended the centres family open day this month, my girls had a fab time! We took advantage of the bouncy castle session which was a huge hit. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We’d love if this was offered as a regular activity on the weekly timetable.

My son has been going here for swimming lessons for quite some time and we wanted to get my daughter in for a while.nLola at the front desk really took her time in helping me get my youngest in, she was so polite and really tried her best to accommodate our needs. Badminton courts in the sports hall are OK but there are often at least a couple of lights not working in the hall.nGym is adequate.nThe last remaining public squash courts in West Berkshire are at Kennet Leisure Centre and are well maintained.nDry sports changing rooms could do with a refurb.

So I've been wrestling with the idea of joining a gym to finally take control of my health and get my chonky self back to something closely resembling athletic I'm 42 one thing thats been stopping me is not understanding the lingo or different exercises, I've spoken to a number of gyms in the local area and they all seemed to make me feel a little overwhelmed, Im no gym bro more of a gin bro. That was until I spoke to Lola, she invited me in to have a discussion and made me feel at ease and calmly explained things in a way that normal humans would understand and I feel excited to start this new chapter in my life. Thanks Lola for all your help.
