Just finished installing Kember eplank, 4.25" Maple harvest in our log home. All boards perfect. Glued and stapled. Feels rock solid and looks great. Andrew and staff were a pleasure to deal with!
My floor started lifting so they came to replace it as I had a warranty on it, and the installers broke my $3k Murphy bed in the process while also not doing a very good job of taking care of my place while doing their work. Never apologized and after bringing up the issue to their agent, foreman and president, they did not assist in any way. Horrible service from the installers. Would not recommend at all.
Dealing with Kember Floors is my biggest regret with regards to building our new house. Take a look at the flooring in the picture. That is after less than two years and that is with gliders under all the furniture.The moment you slide a piece of furniture it leaves a scratch. Andrew Kember was emphatic that the flooring needed to be glued down to prevent the floor from creaking. He quoted me a price to have the flooring installed and I paid to have it glued down. It turned out that the loser installer, he sent to do the job, stopped applying glue the moment I turned my back. Now the floor creaks all over the place. I can't walk across the bedroom floor at night without waking up my wife. I have complained but they refuse to do anything about it. I am seriously contemplating ripping out all the flooring and replacing it. It will be worth it to not have to be reminded of the Kember name every day.
I've used lots of hardwood flooring over the years and I am consistently impressed with the hardwood flooring quality that this company creates. With proper install and maintenance you will have a floor you will love for years to come
