Came in here for the cure after a heavy night out the day before, had a pint of Guinness, being Irish we are obviously judging the pints away from home, but this was definitely one of the best I've had, and cure me straight away, lovely pub, plenty of seating, good atmosphereService: 5/5
New part of the world that we had been visiting with family and recommended that we go here. Not disappointed and always a good sign in my book when you return again during same visit. Very much an authentic Irish bar feel and knocks the socks of anywhere down in the city for atmosphere and value for money. Had Sunday lunch which was really nice as well.
Nice pub with a decent selection of brews. Tried their new burg menu and they were fairly good, but I'd rather a homemade paddy, over what seemed like a pre made. The bar had a good atmosphere, but there was a dude in the pub who was clearly hammered and extremely annoying. To the point where he harassed two girls until they ended up leaving the pub. The girls were clearly distressed and told the bloke on multiple occasions to leave them alone and to not touch them. The bar staff were aware of the guy and didn't kick him out because he was either a mate or a regular In the end, we left too because the staff didn't get rid of this clown. It was extremely disappointing to see staff allow this type of behaviour.
Lovely food and atmosphere, friendly staff. We had pizzas and my wife and I had sandwiches, all of the food was delicious, the house beer is a good pint. Also dog friendly, though we didn't take ours on this occasion.
I met some nice people there, and had a chat with some of the bar staff, who were really friendly. I would definitely go back. I didn't notice any cask ales, but I will go back and investigate further.Service: 5/5
Kelly's is a great place. If you go looking for a place that has a good mix of people just out for a drink and a quiet night then this is the place to go. Although it is in a prodiminately student area their are a good range of ages here, which leads of a better atmosphere. Loads of seating and good alcoves.
Always warm and welcoming. Possibly my favourite place on Smithdown. It has everything, feels like a home away from home. It's a local, it's a good sports viewing pub, has good drinks, lovely staff, you can watch the world go by, you can have a nice night to banging tunes, you can have a slice of pizza, you can play a game. It's a great pub.
We were so lucky to find this amazing venue while visiting our son who has recently moved into a house nearby. A fabulous interior and a range of tasty filling food at a good price. The chips with parmesan are yum. I asked for a lime and soda and received my drink made with real lime juice, squeezed into soda - it was delicious, far superior to the usual pub offering. The manager was happy to chat and told us about the place and pointed out the adjacent area which had once been a cake shop, and the spot where the large cake cabinet would have stood. We ended up returning the next day to enjoy Sunday lunch in the former cake shop! Highly recommended!
It's my local : lovely vibe in there, the food is boss and their staff are friendly & kind. Get a good seat when the footies on folks!!!
The best Guinness in Ireland’s second capital.Food: 5/5
