Story

Head Chef David Cardwell (AA Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2006) is now delighted to have opened up his own Fully Licensed Restaurant, come give us a visit!

Katch 27 is a new venture for Chef David Cardwell, David was head chef in the Quays for 9 years and is now delighted to be back in his very own kitchen serving up mouth watering dishes.

Katch serves up hearty breakfasts from 9am - 12noon every day, then lunch from noon to 3pm.

Fine dining is offered on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6.30pm onwards and it is advisable to book in advance.

Sunday offers breakfasts, lunch and dinner

Katch specials include a lot of different sea food dishes which changes weekly depending on what is landed.
Mouth watering sirloin, Red Thai Curry, Portavogie Prawn Morney are just a few of the speciality dishes which you may find on the menu.

I could not fault the food or service. The food was delicious and full of flavour and most importantly....fresh!! The menu is dedictated by what comes in fresh that day! The little touch of hearing one of our group had a birthday, then bringing out their dessert with candles, made the experience unforgettable! Thank you so much!

Son was sleeping so we decided to get a takeaway. Chef offered us a side room on our own so we could bring our son in. Hospitality 5*!! Will be back again. Edit: back again on Easter Sunday, outstanding food and hospitality again but this time I needed first aid 20 mins after we paid and left because of a hand injury and fracture that happened at the beach due to NO signage for sewage outlets and you cannot see them from above, Lisa cleaned and bandaged me up and calmed me down for my journey to hospital and I'll never forget it, I'm so so grateful for this restaurant and how helpful they are. Very much recommended.

Called in for breakfast and had one of the best cooked breakfasts I have ever had. Girlfriend had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and loved it!! Don't think it was even on the menu but the chef was happy to rustle it up. The food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend! Had a quick look at the lunch and evening menu too. I'll be back.
