Lovely restaurant, after a trip to Portaferry we were able to find this restaurant through google. Food didn't disappoint, although fish and chips has absolutely no salt at all, just heads up. Waiting time is a bit long. We ate a delicious lentil soup for starters and then asked for the award winning fish, quality of fish is good, mushy peas not my fav but overall great restaurant. Staff very friendly.
The food here is amazing. If you are in the area you should definitely eat here. They have a diverse menu that includes vegan and vegetarian options. I had the special fillet steak and it was perfect. Came with a delicious side of fried onion strings and baked pepper mushrooms. Wife had the veggie burger and it tasted much better than your usual American bean burger. The atmosphere is humble and local. Portaferry has a lot of history and you can smell and taste it at this great little gem. Bring GBP if you want to tip. I paid with card and there was no line for tipping so I felt bad.
Very cosy little place. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional! We called here to dine in as we'd been to the takeaway before and it was lovely! I had the fish and chips and my Fiancè had the house burger, both meals were beautiful and couldn't have been faulted, the food was piping hot, fresh and well presented. Very good portion sizes aswell. Quite reasonable prices considering that everywhere is so expensive now! We will be back
Just missed the ferry so we decided to grab some lunch and glad we did. Great place for tasty food. I had the cod and prawn mornay. Very tasty. Service was great too.
Amazing!!! Definitely worth a visit! We were moved on by another cafe who were rude, but looked around for somewhere else and we are so glad we came here! They managed to squeeze us in despite tables being reserved which allowed us to still eat with enough time. We ordered the lasagne, scampi and chicken burger. Buns were lush, sauces were lush, batter was lush… we loved the atmosphere. Our servers were very polite and really helpful and attentive. Very good cleaning of tables after guests leave. Definitely recommended to all! We even took food home as it was all so scrumptious!n
