awful food!!! avoid like a bad smell. Based on some good reviews found on Google, I ordered tikka masala with some naan bread. Chicken tikka masala was made of 1 piece of chicken, 1 smelly rotten carrot piece, and a lot of sour tomato sauce. We trashed the whole meal without eating it and risking to be poisoned. This awful restaurant should be visited by some government regulated sanitary inspection !!! DO NOT risk your health and do not order anything from this place. Watch attached picture !!!! This is how the tikka masala looked like.. AWFUL !
Delicious food, both vegetarian and meat options. The lamb dish we had was very tasty. We really enjoyed the newly refurbished, tidy space, and the atmosphere. We will definitely come back to probably to oldest Indian restaurant in New Cross! Great thanks to ladies who hosted us. Impressively good prices, and lovely experience overall.
What can I say! We called up to see if they had anything Vegan and the staff were fantastic and accomodating. So much fantastic food that they tailored as well as ready on the menu. Great flavours, great prices and wonderful food. A hidden Vegan gem in New Cross. Ring em up and they deliver too!
One of the best Indian restaurants I've been too in London in a long time! The food is excellent, authentic flavours with some interesting innovations. Also, the food is very well priced and staff are absolutely lovely. Highly recommended.
Went to Karri Twist for a meal with my family. We usually go to another Indian restaurant close by that we had been going to for years but it was cloesd so we thought we would try this. Best decision! The food tasted way better, I even tried some vegan dishes and they tasted great. To top it off the customer service was 10/10. Will definitely be making this my new go-to Indian restaurant.
Me and my husband had a wonderful time! Affordable prices, fast service and most important, delicious food! There was a gathering/party-ish while we were there in October, but we didn’t mind the noise as they had a really good time and it gave us a good mood. Now the staff: hats off, everyone was super friendly! Especially to the older woman if you are reading this I apologize, but I cannot remember your name - anyway, shout out to her cause she is amazing! We will make sure to come back whenever we’ll come back in London.
A taste sensation through every part of my meal. This is a restaurant where you see how much care is taken over every recipe to make it full of flavour and complimentary textures. I would highly recommend dining in here too as there is great customer service and a cost dining atmosphere.
A very tasty curry house. Excellent food with generous portions. That’s staff were great and provided great recommendations from an interesting menu. My only complaint would be that the decor was a bit basic. I’ll definitely visit again.
Food tasted fine but I ordered a kebab for £10 and all that arrived was 2 tiny plastic pots with 3 little bits of meat in each. Very tight portion wise. Nothing worse than ordering food and feeling even more hungry after eating it.
Was very disappointed with this place. We order the set meal for 2 - it was a great price and so we weren't expecting perfection - but we definitely expected more for our money. Both chicken main courses were extremely watery and very bland. Rice was fine and the dips with the popadoms were really good. However, like the main courses, the vegetable side dishes particular the chick-pea dal was ridiculously watery: it had the consistency of a slurry which isn't what you want in your food even in a dal - which I'm sure should be reasonably thick. In short the food was not offensive or horrible - just didn't have the texture Indian food should have and had very little flavour. Avoid.
