The whole store is dirty, look at the stairs that give access to the upper floor, it is completely filthy, it has not been cleaned for several days or weeks. The entire floor of the store is filthy.Prices and products are not bad but the cleanliness of the store in general leaves much to be desired
Lack of staff and the ones that were there were as useful as a chocolate fire guard! Looking for something in the store and when I did find a member of staff to adk the response was 'somewhere at the front of the store' no offer of showing me where. Goods are reasonably priced but not customer focused.
Store has good relaxing vibes. Was served by an incredibly handsome employee named ellis, he helped to find a quality headset for a suitable price, would recommend to any budding young gamers looking for a decent headset
I would have liked to have put no stars but alas this is not possible! Today I tried to purchase a pair of trainers. After waiting patiently behind a queue of people also waiting I politely asked a sales lad if there was any chance he could call for more help. This led to a direct no, I said that will be a lost sale then. I replaced the trainer on the shelf and turned to leave. This led to the staff member shouting it wasn't his fault to my back. I politely reminded him I only asked if he could get more help and he might be better going to ask. This resulted in him starting to shout that there was nobody and implying I was causing trouble. I walked away and joined the queue at the till to ask for the manager. I spoke to the Manager who I got the clear impression from that I was in the wrong because they are short staffed and get a lot of trouble from customers. It does not surprise me in the slightest that this company is suffering when they treat customers so rudely. I will never visit this shop again and I suggest they teach some of the staff some good old fashioned manners. A sorry at least would have worked wonders!
Super Cheap branded sportswear. Have bought many shoes here for myself and my family over time. Always great quality and brilliant prices. Need a few more members of staff but when you find one they are helpful.
I went to the game shop in sports direct Rochdale today, one week ago i bought some headphones, my son didnt like it and said he wanted different ones. I went today to exchange them, the terms and conditions are if if it is within 28 days then i can return or exchange it. I spoke to a guy and showed him the box, it was unopened, but he said he will not return it or even exchange it. In front of my 5 year old son and my wife he was being very rude, this is the third time this has happened within two months, it looks like to me he ws being racist.The rest of the staff is nice but it was that one man who was really rude. I got the feeling he didnt like me because i am asian. Please remove him from the rochdale store, he is not good for customers, escpecially asian customers. I hope you will respond positively. Thank you.
An altogether different experience compared to past visits. Unfortunately, customer service is not what attracts me to shop at sports direct, but on this particular occasion I came away with 4 pairs of shoes having been assisted by Abu who was extremely helpful... Thank you!
Abu helped me and he found everything i need was very kind and helpful cashier lady was very kind aswell as my card had an issue she patiently helped me thanks a lot.
Unfortunately 1 star is too much for this store however I do not have the option of putting 0/5. Went in store to buy a few pairs of trainers and was waiting around for about 30mins with about 3 shoes that I wanted to get however no staff in sight for them to get my size..store was empty. Just one guy at the door pretending to work. Asked him if there was anyone available and he just told me to go back to the section I was in and wait for staff. I almost walked out then! After the 30mins a staff member came through..I wanted to try 3pairs if shoes so I asked for my size in all 3..the first one he got the right size..however the other two were different sizes and completely different shoes. So had to wait another 10mins for him to get them. I ended up buying them however I went to the queue and had to wait another 30mins when there was only 2people infront of me. The store was made me claustrophobic with the amount of stuff just jammed packed in there..was hard to move. And they also had an umbrella stand blocking the doors..this maybe something they do when they close however it was open and there was still customers inside! “Fire and safety hazard” Some staff were really nice however looked overworked and some just didn’t care. I asked for a price check and they told me that I needed to queue which would take 30mins just to check the price. Disappointed and can’t see this store staying open much longer!
I called in today for my childs sports kit and I was presently suprised by the level of customer service from a member of staff on the top floor sports department, she went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for, she even found similiar items when the one I wanted was out of stock. I would definitely say this store is improving based on today's visit. The only down side is there are no mirrors apart from the two changing rooms which are down stairs and Sports direct offer No Cash/ Card Refunds so if your not 100% on your purchase be warned you will be left with a "gift card" and if your ordering online the same applies and the customer is liable for return postage.
