Kahani London
"Discover an innovative, modern Indian menu at Kahani, Sloane Square one of London’s best Indian restaurants.Meaning ‘story’ in Hindi, Kahani is where Michelin-starred chef Peter Joseph is adding a fresh spin to Indian food.London has always had a love affair with curries, but Kahani forgoes heavy, oily foods in favour of light dishes, grilled meats, fish and vegetables from the robata grill. All dishes are centred around sharing, making Kahani one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in London for groups of family and friends.Kahani also offers an inventive range of cocktails and drinks to serve alongside the finest Indian cuisine Chelsea has to offer."

We had the six course tasting menu and it was exceptional. The service was perfect. Our server was a very sweet and pleasant fellow who was attentive and helpful. The food was incredibly fascinating and tasty. I think the guinea fowl was our favourite, but each dish was really enjoyable. The wine menu was comprehensive. The cocktails we had were gorgeous and delightful. They even prepared a special little desert because my wife and I were celebrating a job offer. This was a perfect meal and blew me away. We will be coming back!
We went to Kahani without much expectations, other than knowing it has a good reputation. Given the piece tag, it's always a risk as to whether it will be worth it. But from the second we arrived outside, and were greeted at the door, we were pleased. Having a pram with us, we were directed next door to the hotel's lift. ALL the staff were not only attentive but responsive and efficient. The process for bottomless brunch and each course was clearly explained. The portions were very generous and the quality of the food of a high standard. Value for money, can't recommend Kahani enough. Was just such a good experience. Kid-friendliness: Had a very comfortable high chair for my baby. Allowed prams access via the lift next door.
Had a fantastic time at Kahani. Customer service was absolutely faultless and the staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We all had the tasting menu and the food was delicious. There wasn't a single course we didn't like and the wine pairing worked perfectly. Wonderful flavours and a wonderful evening. I would highly recommended for a relaxed and pleasant evening with friends or family.
We discovered this place after searching for a good but different Indian restaurant that we hadn't explored previously. The ambience was good. We were welcomed well and the service was friendly, attentive and thoughtful. The starter was different and nice, so was the dessert but we personally did not find the mains all that interesting. It might just be us, but the meaty dishes felt too rich and rice wanting a lot more love. All in all a decent experience. Credit cards accepted including American express.
We ordered the Bottomless Brunch and trust me you're gonna be full with the most delicious Indian food we ever tried in London yet... The desserts were impeccable and looked straight out of a Master Chef's kitchen. Will be looking forward to go there again.Food: 5/5
We enjoyed a bottomless brunch at Kahani and it was delicious There were a variety of dishes served which were full of flavour. We. Especially loved the tandoori wings which we happened to order a second helping of! The service was very attentive and we will look forward to returning soon
I enjoyed my very first visit to Kahani. The restaurant is great - amazing ambience and cozy fireplace in the far end, inspiring paintworks on the walls, delicious and creatively presented cocktails with some edible dried flower petals for decoration, beautiful tableware, and of course sensational food. We tried both meat and fish dishes, both were carefully prepared and presented. The chocolate desert was melting in the mouth and not too sweet - superb! We will be back! The only recommendation to perfect the service - please give all 4 menus from the get go to all parties, we had to ask 3 times for them only one of us were given all the menus, while other one had to wait and remind the waiter several times to bring those.
I've visited this place on December 2021, about 8:00 pm. It was packed, and very loud. We ordered, chicken, fish curry, rice, nan bread, cucumber & mint raita, and sambosa. Nan bread was really good, so we made another order. Also, they had 0.0% alcohol free beer which is really great. The staff was very friendly and nice, the service is amazing. I thought the food was good but not really great. The quantity of the food was little in comparison to it price. The cleanliness of the food and place is 5/5. Generally, I enjoyed being in this place.
Fabulous meal & Tasting menu experience. This place is a hidden gem, difficult to find it through google maps as it takes one to rear of the restaurant. Went for the Tasting menu choice & it started with a fantastic amuse bouche - Kale fritters… Black Chicken was a revelation - delighted that I tasted it at Kahani Scallops with a pickled shrimp base, Nice Prawn tandoori was classic dish The guinea fowl tikka is treat too The sorbet was a just a break before the main dish - the Somerset Lamb Chops served with potatoes & dal makhani : Fabulous. Who wouldn’t be full by this time Make space for the dessert - Chocolate delight with almond brittle & caramel ice cream. The staff were accommodating as we asked for a few tweaks. Pity I did not meet the chef - Peter Joseph. Kahani is not any kahani, it is a legend
Nice experience in a pretty setting, even though the space on the tables is quite limited. Staff is professional. The “green” fish was absolutely stunning, maybe the best Indian fish dish I had in my life. Highly recommend to get itbut to be fully honest, a few things weren’t meeting the expectations: The samosas were not as special and tasty as they could be and 3 sauces came in only 1 little bowl and mixed when using the small spoon to serve. Naan wasn’t perfect. We recommend to improve the temperature of the served dishes. Easy things will make dinner perfect.
