Great woodland site hidden away lovely facilities, great camping location for Bradgate park. Hard standing car park with well maintained camp sites all in close proximity of amenities .I visited with scout group children aged 10 -14 years, only point to be aware of we used camp fires we put together from site of a barrel and stand see pictures barrels just fit on stands length wise, when we visited we had heavy rain on and off over the evening and ours gave way one side. Only pointing out for people taking groups who complete risk assessments as could of been a problem if we had smaller children, the worst that happened to our group was our food tipped on the floor from a hot barrel.
Visited here for a wedding and it was brilliant. The wardens were super helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The site itself was fabulous. Nice big site with great facilities and the toilets were impeccably clean. The bunk house was brilliant, again nice and big with a fantastic kitchen, best bunk house I've been to!nReally brilliant site.
Dropped the boy off for a scouts camping trip. The site looked great.nOnsite toilets and washing facilities.
Nice woodland but toilets where not cleaned well and had no toilet roll
Best Scout campsite you could wish for in terms of location, activites, cost and the great warden teams!
