A very modern structure with luxury inside stores and shops for every pocket, you can find it just 3 mins walking from the town centre
Went to the cafe upstairs. Nice and clean. The staff were all lovely and professional. We had the lemon cake, lemon meringue, with cappuccino and hot chocolate...all perfect!
Very disappointed. Mobile phone on offer online, and discounted further with a trade in offer. Stock showing for this store, so contacted customer services, could have it delivered and paid over the phone, but wanted to go in-store. Had an email from the store, so I emailed back and got clarity on price I would pay in-store, another member of store staff reassured me I would get the online price with trade in. Went in store to collect, and was told the price had gone up since ordering and I wouldn't get any trade in offer, because that had also ended. After being in the store for a long time I was told I could have it at the previous price, but with no trade in. The trade in offer gave £150 off this phone, so a large amount of money. Even though I showed emails from store staff agreeing on the price, I was told no. I was offered many apologies, but really they are worthless. The cold hard words in black and white via email should be quite enough to have a price honoured, but the assistant manager couldn't care less. And they wonder why people use Amazon. No wonder the York store closed after only being open for a few years.
No wonder JL have closed a number of their stores if the shop floor staff attitudes are to go on! Men’s shoe department…. Hapless young man looking bored and arranging shoes on the shelves. Had to walk up to him to ask for my size in particular shoe I was interested in buying. No verbal response from shop assistant who took shoe from me. Two seconds later he appeared from behind shoe storage and said ‘No’ then walked off to continue arranging shelves! and I’m not kidding Then on to furniture level. No staff whatsoever! We actually wanted to buy a sofa from JL. Looking at the swatches ,we encountered a fast walking shop assistant who briskly asked if we wanted any help. Good start! We ask him why the swatches we had ordered online didn’t match any of the swatches in store. He explained that the in store swatches were the new colours going forward. With that and with no time to ask if the swatches sent to us were obsolete, he quickly moved on never to be seen again! Needless to say, we gave up and left the store. Should have kept the store in Sheffield open and closed the Leeds one. At least in Sheffield the staff we helpful and knew their stuff.
This John Lewis has five floors of quality products ranging from clothes to carpets. Their home section is particularly impressive with a large selection of beds and mattresses. Staff are on hand to provide services such as upholstery and design consultations, and you're able to try the mattresses in store, with appropriate covid things in place. Altogether it's a great store. They have lots of sale items in store too.
John Lewis is one of my favorite places to go in Leeds to shop or even services, the variety of the bards for home and fashion is impressive, however as a client who collects points the rewards is really not that impressive. The massages at the clarins spa is amazing and worth the try.
Natalie at the John Lewis baby section was fantastic! Really knowledgeable, demonstrated all the products during the session and was super helpful. Ended up coming away with a pram and a car seat which was exactly what we needed. The cafe has great views across the city too.
what a great experience, Sophie in menswear was outstanding, so helpful and cheery with a personality as colourful as her fabulous hair! She helped me pick some outfits, gave honest opinions, and was just a delight. If you read this Sophie you'd make a great personal stylist! X
Utterly shameful experience trying to order a new cooker from these muppets. Told in writing by their customer services that we had to order 'Premier Service' at time of placing order on the telephone in order to get installation of new cooker and removal of old one. Told very firmly when trying to place the order that this 'Premier Service' could not be ordered from John Lewis. Had to be requested from supplier when they contacted us for a delivery date. Against my better judgement I placed the order even though whole process was now starting to feel unsafe and frankly like a scam. Spoke to supplier who stated very clearly that no, they cannot arrange 'Premier Service', in fact they are not in a position to take direct payments from members of the public and any fitting arrangements must come from re-seller, in this case John Lewis. Was told that JL regularly mess this up. Raised complaint with JL who first wrote this: 'Hi Tim Thank you so much for contacting John Lewis & Partners. I am sorry to learn that you were having difficulty trying to have a installation and disposal service done. At John Lewis we strive to provide quality services and products and understand that was not the purpose on this occasion. I have doubled check to see if any installation or disposal service comes with purchasing the Belling Cookcentre 100EI Electric Range Cooker With Induction Hob but can see that there are no services that comes with this specific item. For any future purchases, please note that not all selected items comes with services, this is why we would advise our customers to contact the customer service team and speak to them directly so that we can check on an alternative system to confirm if any services are available with the item. If the services are not able to be located we would advise our customers they will need to find their own 3rd party solution. Once again apologies for any disappointment this may have caused. If there is anything else you need assistance with, please do not hesitate to let us know.' Then this nonsense: 'Hi Tim Thank you so much for your response to the previous email. Once again apologies for any disappointment caused, in line with the matter this would be process on the items that does not come with any additional services, alternatively you can choose different item that will be suitable for you that comes with the installation and disposal service. If there is anything else you need assistance with, please do not hesitate to let us know. Kind regards' So no clue where this leaves a 100KG cooker or their customer and clear no interest in resolving the issue. Bloody Useless - DON'T order your cooker from these fools
No one knows how to do anything. Couldn't get a refund on a egift card despite having done this in the past. Also sent to 3rd floor for the refund then was about to sent somewhere else before I said no. Utterly clueless resulting in a frustrating experience. Go online when possible. So much easier
