This was my first visit to a John Lewis store, having previously bought items from them online. I was very impressed at how many different departments and items there were. We had only popped in to spend away some time before our lunch reservation, but we ended up returning after lunch to continue. Best place I've seen for perfume testers, better than any airport. We are currently in the process of planning a major redecoration of our reception rooms at home, and saw many items we will be back for, or inspired by. Staff were also very helpful when called upon.
Exceptional customer service experience at this store, blown away by their kindness and support! We came in to buy a suit for my son for a wedding, and we hadn’t got a clue where to start. We instantly had the help of Gina and Christine who went above and beyond to fetch the right items and provide helpful advice to guide us. They were running around the store non stop for several hours and they were so kind and helpful throughout. So patient and genuinely caring. We could not have done it without them, and you couldn’t wish for better support. With their help we managed to get a full suit, shirt, waistcoat, blazer, belt, tie etc, they sorted it all! Amazing. I also want to thank Hafsah from the tech team for going above and beyond supporting my husband with his new John Lewis card. She was so unbelievably patient and kind. Exceptional service. Would highly recommend this store and I hope this reaches the manager and gets passed on as your staff are a credit to you.
Excellent service and advice when changing my mobile phone. Marc recommended the best mobile for me and Jag and Mike set up the new phone transferring the data from my old phone and explained the new settings very clearly without me feeling like a technophobe which I am!. My thanks to you all, brilliant service, highly recommend.
I visited the store today with my auntie to get some things she needed and what a pleasant experience we had! My auntie is really particular about what she wants and Jas had all the time in the world for us ensuring she seen all her options and we honestly can’t thank her enough! Special thanks to Simone for her excellent customer service as well. Definitely recommend the store!
As ever, Zoya was brilliant when sorting out an issue related to an electrical item. She always finds a way to deliver excellent customer service, and made today's journey to the store very much worthwhile!
Bought 3 TVs in the last two years, but not from here. Can only recommend 1 of the staff members in electrical. The rest seem to prefer chatting in groups. Best to check out the item you want and buy it elsewhere if they can't be bothered with simple customer service
Good quality products, toilets and cafe available. Helpful staff a good choice of tech. Large car park, lifts available
Store is lovely, good selection in all departments. However, the cafe and parts of the store were not very good for light-sensitive epileptics. Multiple spot lights were flashing, making it extremely stressful when eating and shopping and left me with an absolutely banging headache. Had to cut short what should have been a lovely birthday shopping trip as a result. It's a shame as the rest of the shop is lovely.
As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was disappointed to find that the cafe primarily offered sandwiches containing lactose. This limited my options severely, as I couldn't enjoy any of the menu items. While the atmosphere and service were pleasant, I would recommend expanding the menu to include lactose-free or dairy-free alternatives to accommodate a wider range of dietary needs.
A very special experience with Lily from the personal shopper team at Solihull branch yesterday. Not only for her professional expertise and incredible efforts in helping us find beautiful and suitable outfits but also for her wonderful combination of empathy and intuition about what an enjoyable shopping experience should be for us. It was so special for us both. We will never forget it.
