Excellent facility, top hole!nMy driver had no problem getting the Bentley parked.nJust as I told my wife; we've had four children and I really can't see what all the fuss is about.
The car park is clean, spacious and safe BUT since the new ticketless system was introduced I have had problems. The cameras don't recognise my number plate, meaning we have to enter the reg and the entry time when we pay and still the exit barrier doesn't open which is embarressing AND inconvenient. RINGO doesn't work either because the number plate isn't being recorded.nThis isn't a one off. Get it sorted! Other car parks read my number okay.
It's a decent enough car park for the most part. There are plenty of spaces so I've never struggled to find a space, and the ramps to go up/down levels are plenty wide enough unlike some I've experienced. This car park reads your number plate as you go in ticketless. Before leaving, you have to enter your registration number into the machine and pay. Then in theory, as you leave, the system knows you paid and the barrier is raised to let you out. And here's the problem. When I enter my reg at the machine it always says it's not recognised. At this point you can tell it how long you've been in the car park and continue to pay. I do this but the barrier still doesn't raise for me, meaning I cause an embarrassing delay holding up traffic while I press the Help button, wait to get through to an operator and then try to explain what happened before he lets me out. This has happened a few times. So one day I decided to try entering my reg differently, my theory was maybe it thinks the C is a G. Bingo, the machine recognised my reg with a G and asked me to pay. I paid, got to the barrier and... you guessed it, the barrier didn't raise. So now I'm stumped. If I enter my reg into the machine correctly and the machine says it's not recognised but I pay anyway, the barrier fails to lift. If I enter my reg incorrectly but the machine does recognise it and I pay, the barrier still doesn't lift. After several visits I now accept this car park is not for me. In case you're wondering, my number plate is a normal, standard one and doesn't look ambiguous to the human eye.
