I have been a patient at Jivadental for the last 5 years and every visit has been a pleasure..Something I never thought I would say about going to the dentist! :)
The staff are so caring and friendly and Dr Bob is an amazing dentist.
I can not recommend Jivadental highly enough!
If you are looking for a professional,caring and friendly dental practice..give Jiva a call.

Update after a second visit.

Thanks first of all for the response. I’m glad you can’t identify me and that my superficially anonymous profile has worked! I do not want you to attempt to identify me, I’d be much too embarrassed to return to your surgery if you knew who I am.

On my second visit I raised my problem again. The dentist told me 2 things which I’ve known for decades, general information, not specific to me. And then he moved on. I brought up my problem again, and I told him that my own self treatment was the cause of the damage to my teeth that he could see. My own self treatment is possibly also the cause of a problem that caused me toothache.

He offered no diagnosis, no helpful advice, didn’t even respond the second time I raised the issue. It’s so frustrating to ask time and time again, for decades. To suffer every day and to be unable to get any medical help no matter how many times I ask.

This dentist is great in many ways, possibly best dentist generally I’ve seen in London. But I do need help, I’ve asked for it twice and didn’t get it. I could understand if time was tight, but my appointment only lasted 10mins. Even if I’d been advised to make another appointment to deal with the problem in detail, I would have been very happy. 

I could try making another appointment and raise the problem again, but I feel like I’d be wasting my time and I’m not sure I can put myself through it.

Visit #1 review:

Really disappointed and upset after my visit. Worked up the courage to tell dentist about an embarrassing problem. He didn’t even acknowledge it. He had his own idea of what he wanted to cover, and he did it very well. But he didn’t listen or take the time to find out what was important to me, or whether I had any goals or issues. As this was my first visit, I would expect that to be a basic first question. I filled out a form where I also raised this issue, and still it wasn’t addressed.

Really devastating, as I’ve been to dozens of different dentists trying to find one who can help and it seems like no one can or will. 

Also was advised to get a very expensive hygiene treatment. The results were not as good I see from the routine visit to my previous hygienist, who is less than half the price. Felt swindled afterwards.

I was referred to Jiva Dental by my partner. After about 10 years of not having regular check ups, it's fair to say the thought of visiting the dentist wasn't something I was looking forward to. During my first visit I instantly felt relaxed. Bob is extremely professional and friendly, and talked me through the work that I needed in an informative way so that I could ask questions.  

I had multiple follow up appointments, during each one the work was quick and straightforward and pain-free :) 

I also decided to have Invisalign and my treatment lasted about 16 months in total. The offer that Jiva had was brilliant and the quality of the treatment was outstanding. Both Bob and the Hygienists were knowledgeable throughout the process, with regular check-ups and advice throughout. 

Having finished all of my treatment, I can only thank the team at Jiva for providing such a good service.
