Was looking forward to this pub after reading reviews but disappointed in the food. Steak pie was burned, gravy was weak and tasted like a packet mix. My steak was supposed to be rib eye but was a grisly piece of rump. Look the Stilton sauce was a hit and some of the other food was good . We had a group of 11 but were left feeling they could do better. To top it off the sticky toffee pudding had been left in the microwave too long and was hard in places - but the cheesecake was tasty! Service and atmosphere was good - so go for a beer and miss the food! Plus if you look the most recent food hygiene rating in September '16 was a Zero.

Lovely location and pub, food was slow and average quality. Also have very low food hygiene score.

Great food and a lovely cosy place with open fires to enjoy a good meal or just a drink....staff really friendly.

Really great food in traditional 'county pub' surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Particularly impressed with service provided by Jess who dealt with a busy Father's Day lunchtime very well indeed.
