We booked via Expedia. We were looking for overnight accommodation in this area and half board was the same price as B&B, so it seemed worth a try. We were able to park in the square outside the hotel (free and no restrictions). The George didn't open till five, but we quickly got access via the indicated door bell. Check-in was quick. The room was plain but warm (on a bitter snowy day), very clean and comfortable. The bed was perhaps too soft! The ensuite had no bath but the shower was large, modern and powerful. There was no shaver socket. For the evening meal we could choose a main course from the standard menu or have an allowance towards one from the specials menu. Starters and main course were very good although there was a very restricted choice of vegetarian or healthy options. Breakfast was excellent . All in all, very good value and would definitely stay again

Six of us had a meal here last weekend. The food was excellent and best of all for 6 people, pretty much all served at the same time. A good sized meal, well presented. Recommended
