Firstly, it was really hard to find the entrance. It is on the other side of the building from what Google Maps indicates and the door was closed. The only way in was through the Hotel. The setting feels old and cold, not very welcoming. With a little touch it could actually become a nice vintage restaurant, Titanic-style. There is a lovely lady that welcomes you and makes you pay first, then she serves the soup, clears the tables and takes away the empty trays from the buffet. The breaded cod was delicious, fresh and crunchy. I also appreciated the tomato soup, the chicken and the vegetarian option which was filo pastry  pie with lentils. While these were very good, the potatoes and the broccoli and cauliflower were surprisingly bad, hard to swallow. The gravy, the peas and the garlic bread were average good. I didn't even taste the lasagna and the cakes as they looked really dry and old. The strength of this experience is probably the price, 8.50£ per person all you can eat buffet, the only drink included is water. I believe this place has great potential but suffers of the connection with the hotel above it.

After being told that the breakfast is £12, I thought 'well, at least it's buffet and I won't have to wait long', but then, after getting my food and drink, I realised that everything was cold and both juices were extremely watered down, even scrambled eggs were swimming in water. Noone has even asked me how was the food, they probably knew it wasn't the best.

£7.5 for buffet lunch and it is not bad in Manchester city. All u can eat

Staff friendly but take ages to come to you even though there were only 2 others in the whole restaurant. It was only 6.40pm, the place opened at 6.30!!! Went to get a drink from the bar,  no staff! Was told by waitress they were busy upstairs and if I wanted a drink I had to go upstairs and then come back down.  I was on my own with my 2 year old daughter and not once did anyone offer to help carry 2 plates of food whilst holding onto my daughter.   The food, well what can I say, disappointed.   Gammon was too chewy, potatoes were shrivelled and not warm. The potatoes you could tell were previously cooked ones reheated.  Choice was limited to gammon or pasta bake.The best part was tomato soup to start.

Came for breakfast while staying at Britannia hotel. Everything “hot” on the buffet had been cooked 2+ times and was Luke warm. Croissants were hard and muffins dry. After being charged over £10 I couldn’t stomach any of it. Absolutely disgusting, avoid like the plague!

Should have known not to bother when the restaurant was empty at 8.15pm. Food was disgusting, my son had boiled potatoes & wedges, as not really much choice for kids. The wedges looked like they had been sat there all night & the potatoes were rock hard. Gammon was not much better, had to dig slices from the bottom as everything on top had dried up. Desert, well what can I say, non existant. Cheese cake, some other undescribable cake & what looked like tinned fruit. Cheese cake was warm, the other, god knows what it was but tasted disgusting. Waited ages for a drink, while they allegedly changed the pump, only to be told they now have a problem with the San Migel & was offered an alternative. Best is when u go to pay, wait again forever while they get their card machine up & running, to be then asked to pay cash as they have a problem with the card reader. Waitress asked if everything was ok, told her yes & paid cash. WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. AVOID AT ALL COST, save your money

I went into Jennys with my dad and we had a good time, it is central and close to the shops and assistance and good service is given. Soup, salad, carvery, sweet, cheese, drinks; during the week it can get busy. A nice place for a treat

Staff seemed friendly but disorganised.. Carvery a big disappointment no real veg option other than frozen mixed veg.. in fact nothing was fresh at all even the fruit looked like it came out of a tin.. looks like the place has poor leadership and nobody cares. On the lower deck there are Christmas decorations up in august..

Having decided upon a trip tp Manchester to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday we caught the bus, and after a driink in Yates' called in here and found the prices to be very good. We went on to another bar, then for a meal in China town. We decided to call back to Jenny's for one last drink before catching the early evening bus back home. As we were about to enter, the lone doorman, can of Red Bull in one hand, mobile phone in the other, looked up turned to me and growled "how much has he had to drink?" we both laughed and asked him to repeat the question. Gobsmacked doesn't even begin to describe the feeling. When I told him "three pints" he simply said "looks like he's had more" and went back to his mobile phone. The meathead wasn't even doing the job he was being paid to do, he wasn't watching the street to see people as they approached the bar, seeing if they were loud, staggering or being a nuisance, no he took one look at my partner, who was sober, in control, and just happens to have tattoos and a shaved head and made a snap decision to refuse entry so he could appear to be doing his job and get back to texting. Well anyone who is reading this be warned, if your face doesn't fit you'll be made to feel cheap and turned away, my advice to you and I will be telling my friends is avoid this bar, you don't need to come here.. there are plenty more welcoming pubs and bars in Manchester!!

Dry and cold carvery, weird staff. Made me pay as soon as I arrived. Go to jenny's restaurant if you want to regret life.
