Not the best looking Wetherspoons I've been in but the staff make up for that with their friendly and quick service!!!! Food was hot and tasty and the drinks were very welcome after a drive down from Yorkshire. Nice outdoor area to the rear and toilets are downstairs which is a bonus to any spoons....well worth a visit!!!!!
This was our first visit, the pub is large and has plenty of different seating areas. Service at the bar was quick, easy and friendly. Food arrived after about 10 minutes. Good size portions properly cooked and tasty, enjoyed the 11 inch Ham & Mushroom Pizza which is made with fresh ingredients on the premises. Meal was good value as you would expect from wetherspoons. Pleasantly surprised to find the toilets here are on the same level as the pub, nice change not to have to climb 2 flights of stairs to use them . Good pub, will come back again Update: came back again on 25/08/2022 I tried the kentucky fried chicken strips in a basket with chips and a sauce. New on the menu tasted good, will have it again. Friendly staff and service is still good.
Headed back for curry night. We ordered chicken jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala along with onion bhaji and garlic naan as extras. It came to just over £20. We was impressed with the amount of food and quick service.
Dirty, filthy, hours old plates left on empty tables, which was half of the premises. Our party asked for a large table to be told that they weren't doing food at 1pm as they had had run out of plates!!!! No wonder as they were all over the place covered in left over food. The staff were very rude & stated they were 1 staff memeber down so wasn't their fault the place was a complete mess. We left & went to another local pub for lunch & the service was amazing..... I work a busy bar & have years of experience. There is never an excuse for this service! If environmental health had attended on this day, the place would be shut down!!! Avoid!!!
Popped in for a coffee whilst waiting for my car. Well situated in the middle of town with both on street parking and two nearby pay and display car parks. I enjoyed a nice cup of decaf and a ginger biscuit.
Great Wetherspoon pub, good service and tasty food!
We just felt squashed in, the seating is bizarre. The food was nice and the app worked well. Didn't enjoy walking through the smokers at the door to get in.
Tables are always sticky for some reason and the foods lacking lol had a mixed grill here and it was laughable, gammon looked like bacon lamb was like a cube of stewing lamb and tough as boots, but the beers good and it has a good atmosphere,so avoid the food and it's great haha
Pay rise to the dining manager for tonight. Dealt with a very difficult situation like a hero and after it was solved he managed to deal with yet another , unpleasant, bunch of people with calm and decisive manner.Great gem for this company rhis guy is .Its my fav pub and it will always be especially after today.
Very clean and very friendly staff the food was excellent, the wheelchair access was excellent, the disabled toilet was very clean and very easy access, the staff couldn't do anything for me and son ,
