On a sunny lunch time, we thought let's see how this spoons is going to be like as we knew what type of service to expect. We were pleasantly surprised when we had a quick and efficient service, used the app to order, very easy, greeted at the door with polite staff. Only let down was the mug that I was given for the bottomless hot drinks, was stained and cutlery need re washing. I enjoyed the food and potions did not dissapoint, Almost a perfect score.., keep scrubbing them utensils or get a better dish washer / service your current one
An 'ok', 'Spoons, popular with all ages, hard working staff, microwaved haggis, neaps and tatties was too dry but tasty. Excellent well kept beer. Amazing facade but the interior of this converted former Methodist Church is smaller than many other Spoons
Really crowded this time of day on a Saturday, but service was great! Food was tasty. Drinks were just right.
Good selection of alcohol, soft drinks and food all a very reasonable prices. Has a small outside area which is still pleasant despite it being at a main road junction. The staff and their service is really good. Enjoyed a few visits there whilst in Dumfries for a long weekend.
Quick service. All orders are done online or through the app due to covid. Hardly had to wait at all for our food and the pizza was by far the best on the menu. Also free refills on hot drinks
I've visited this pub a couple of times now and will do again! It's a small "spoons" compared to most, but this doesn't hinder its popularity. My last visit was Saturday teatime 5.30pm ish. Very popular with family's at this time. Good range of real ales as usual.
Great beers, great food. Nice atmosphere.
This place is a bombsite! Tables piled high with dirty dishes and glasses. Tables never get wiped down or disinfected. Menus are filthy and covered in food and dirty handprints. The staff quite clearly don't give a toss about hygiene and safety standards. Having worked in and ran licensed establishments over many years, I'm shocked and disgusted by the sheer ineptitude of the staff. An absolute disgrace!
Christmas dinner notbad No notice on menu on what was gluten free Automatic board to show alleges not easy for people to follow Im81 All menu must show contents of food Staff helpful but to busy to spend time with everyone I gave lot of my dinner to my husband as I could not take the risk on some of the food I need more vegetables the Turkey was nice Lovely month in Scotland back to Portsmouth England this week
Great place, lovely and quiet, friendly staff, good food, photo for the Wethers carpet spotters! Food arrived promptly
